When: May 23rd, 2pm-5pm
Where: Starbucks, 1300 SW 3rd St (Essex House Starbucks)
Portland, OR
What: Kumoricon General Meeting
We'll be meeting together for staff and volunteers, discussing what's happening, publicity, events, programming, and recruitment of more staff.
-
I may be able to make it... =^.^= If I'm an extra good girl until that weekend. Though if I do go, I might only be able to stay till 3 or so. Luckily Portland isn't *that* far away.
-
I will be there! (I work less than a mile from the Marriott) =^_^=
-
Excellent, I should be able to get that time off!
It'll be a sweet opportunity to get some voleunteer time figured into my con experience.
Helping without the responsibiilty!
I'd love to help with registration Friday night since my commute will be less than an hour to the hotel!
We'll see about it at the meeting.
-
We will also be accepting registrations for staff and regular attendees at the meeting, so if you have people that are too lazy(or busy) to mail in their pre-registrations, or want to be on staff, please have them show up to our general meeting, especially if they want to be staff.
-
i'd like to go as well and that weekend i can bring a canadian con go-er as well, so that's a possible 2 for staff or volunteer
*quietly steps into an empty room and jumps and dances with joy because of KumoriCon, then returns to room and calmly takes a seat*

Updated the post with the location information. There's a starbucks near the Marriott that will probably see a lot of use during the convention :) Also note, that the meeting time has changed to 2pm to 5pm. The first part of the meeting we'll be going over our different sections, recruiting staff, etc. Then we'll be going over to the Marriott to view the hotel and the facilities.
-
I will be there! *dances out the room, and to the elevator*
8O you didn't see that........
-
w00t, I'm coming! ^.^
Ummm..... does this starbucks make the mistake of putting whipped cream on their apple ciders too? >.<
-
no clue... but that doesn't sound kosher.
-
Oh well. I guess I can just keep sending the stupid drink back until someone remembers that my order specifys ' NO WHIPPED CREAM'. ^.^;
Being lactose intolerant is so much fun. ^.^;
-
let's hear it for Lactose. =) I don't touch the stuff much either.
-
I remember this Starbucks to be really stupid....I ordered a regular decaf and got some frozen drink.....not too far from what I ordered
-
whats the point of coffe if its decaf?
-
For us losers who need to quir drinking regular but still enjoy the flavor
-
The flavor of coffee? >.<
Just suck on shoe lining, isn't it about the same? >.<
Just because I live in Seattle doesn't mean I have to actually LIKE the stuff! >.<
-
coffee is quite good. decaf is indeed pointless... but the coffee companies love it... they sell the beans, and they sell the caffine to coke and pepsi... they make more than 2x the money on decaf as they do off regular.
-
Ah, I won't be able to make the meeting @.@ last minute rehersal for the play I'm in... gah... gotta go too... -.-;
-
I wish I could come, but I help set up for my church at 2 and it starts at 4:30. :|
-
Ill be there. I want to help in any way I can. Im all for seeing a new CON in town that I can actually get to without traveling for 6 hours by car.
-
NOO!! If I would have know this was TODAY (it's 4AM now) I would have not promised to go to church! Arg, it's from 11Pm to 4PM, and I also need to finish this project...
In other words, I can't make it. (T_T)
PLEASE let know if there is any other meeting. It'll be summer vacation by then and I won't be so busy! I'd love to volunteer, sounds like fun. And I don't want to miss this like last time. ^_^
-
:-P well, it was posted in several places... on the front page, in the forums... :-)
we'll post again when we have one... but it'll probably be in the same places we post... so uhhh... not sure if you'll miss it again or not. :-P

There's a thread about it elsewhere actually.
