It might not go main stream. my main concern is voice actors. funimation sometimes has problems choosing good ones. >_> (Ex. Burst angel)

the only prob with somthing getting really popular that I can think of it thats how you get narutards
I remeber at the charity auction last year I said naruto pronouced na-ru-to and I started to get heckles by some people in the audience shouting " its pronounced naR-uto! nar!"

What I'm pleased about is the anime club @ Clark can show stuff by Funimation, so this is a great series that we can show some time.

As a Japanese major, that makes me cringe.
Good point but I think it would take a lot to get the same type of fans that Naruto has.

It's a good series (I'm guessing you haven't seen it yet?). It's kinda slow at some points in the story (coughExcaliburcough) but it really picks up around episode 20.

Not so much that it's popular but that it might collect an annoying fanbase.
Also, the whole slash fic. thing. I know fanfiction is already out there for the series, but not as much as Naruto x Sasuke, Light x L, and Ed x Roy fics are. It just gets annoying, I guess. ::)
But that's just my opinion.
I'm glad that it's doing well, though. I love the series to bits.

I think it's going to go the way of bleach and naruto and there will be tons of fans/cosplay etc

I still have to read it, but I think it looks and sounds really cool. Of all the companies that could have taken the project on, I'm glad to hear it's Funimation. Quality-wise, (to me) they are pretty much without equal. I think it will turn out great and I doubt it will gain as annoying a "tard-base" as other anime have. Hopefully anyway.
