Anyone thinking of going this year? July 2-5th at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

I'm going to try to go to this and if anyone else going from Kcon wants to share a room let me know! I'll be reserving my hotel room as soon as they announce the codes. Or if you just want to hang out at the con let me know.

I'm going to be paying like $500-600 for it. Depends on when I get my plane tickets. <.<

you going by plane? cool. ^_^ we're doing a three week road trip and that's one of our stops. :3 the only thing I have to pay for is souvenirs.

Ah, I see, I see! Yeah I'm going by plane, best way for me so I don't have to take a bunch of days off work for it. ^-^
Plane tickets to CA from Portland only cost around $250-300 :P I spent $233 to go to Fanime last year. I suppose it is pretty expensive..but if you can't take the time to road trip down.. :P

I would love to go, but then I would have to figure out how I'm getting down there, hotel, the funds etc.
I likely try for a road trip to save on money but getting time for that may be hard.

its not to bad for prices but a road trip just seems like more fun and cheaper. we're going to disney land as well. (of course) XD

Heh I can get work off pretty much whenever I want, the problem is we have an allotted amount of vacation time we get so I don't like to use too much of it at one time.. :P

Yeah, if you have the time to do a road trip that's definitely the way to do it. I think that'd be a lot of fun.

Updating this! As soon as I can buy them from Southwest I'll be buying my plane tickets (hurray for tax returns!). If anyone is going and wants to room let me know!

AX is going to be super awesome wintime. After Fanime I realized that I actually know quite a few people that are going who are my Fanime friends. And my cousin I haven't seen in like 3 years is an anime nerd so she is going too, lawls.
Also, it actually isn't all that expensive. The only part that is expensive would be the plane tickets and if you buy them at the right time they can be pretty cheap. I originally paid $300-ish for mine but I went back and checked prices about a month ago and they were $100 cheaper so I get that ticket price and the extra $100 will go toward my next flight (since I buy the nonrefundable tickets at Southwest as they are the cheapest). I love me some Southwest. Two checked bags without paying for them too :P
I don't think I'm going to finish my cosplay for it, though.. <.<
