Well, we decided to go with some original designs, but I am going to be working on the red Phantom outfit(ie:the movie not the stage production) for my hubby. We'll see how things turn out *^_^*

thats always a good thing to go by. I try to come up with really cool masquerade outfits but I never get them done so I just grab something out of my closet or borrow something from a friend then sproose it up with accessories or something. it tends to go over pretty well, but man some of the outfits I've seen? so gorgeous. <3 I can't wait to see your costumes. X3

I believe they had in february last year. as for this year, I remember them having a poll on the type of dance in general discussion and I think the vote leaned towards a more informal dance.

We have a dance in the works, and as soon as I have finalized info I will post it (hopefully this week). It will either be the end of this month, or the first weekend in March. The result of the voting was for an informal dance, so no masquerade this time (doesn't mean you can't do it anyway, tho ;D) As always, cosplay is encouraged.. but it won't be as formal as the masquerade was last year.
So, keep an eye out for the announcement.. it will be up soon.

We have a space guaranteed for Jan 31, but we're also looking at another that we may be able to use Feb 7. Either way, it's in a month, and as soon as I have confirmation, I will post the details.
Here is a hint, tho: we will be having a black and white theme for this dance ;)

Gray Hound's actually rather expensive, and you have to pay the fee for each person. Now that gas has gone down in price I do believe it'd be cheaper, I'll ask my dad tomorrow since he drives up there so much.

and I got my new traveling sewing machine, a tone of pink fabric, i think i can get the hardest part of peach (the bodice) done this weekend xD
i can do the skirt myself (Kenzies gonna help me) and the corsette as well, so this way i think i can defiantly have princess peach ready by feb 7

could go with a straight one and then curl it(or use her R2 hairstyle).

may want to read into how to curl a wig. I've never done it myself so I don't know how hard it is, but I did learn a little about it in that you have to use controlled amount of heat.

I was able to straighten one of my wigs as long as the heat was really really low....though I can't straighten some others.

I will be going as Rima, off of vampire knight. Last yaer I went as her, and had lots of fun. some people joined in a dance that me and my other vk friends did. Then we started running. Xp crazy fun!

no no no no....The dance on the 7th is NOT the Masquarade Ball. Its a casual Black or White theme/Anime Cosplay dance. The masquarade ball will be later in the spring/summer or at con. Still not decided. You can wear a mask to the dance on the 7th if you want. But its not somthing everyone will do or be required.

you can get those at some party stores. I know one store that has a little bit of Halloween stuff on hand year round and I got a few pairs there.
