It all depends on space coming down. I don't know how much I can take up to Seattle on the plane, nor how much Kaasan's car will handle ... nor how bulky some of my stuff will be when I'm done. :3 But, potentially:
Unohana (Bleach, shihakushou and/or nighttime clothes)
Miranda (D.Gray-man, pre-exorcist dress)
Risai (Juuni Kokki, formals and/or doomed in a corner)
Kaya (Trinity Blood, habit)
something steampunky or Girl Genius related
an Arrancar from Bleach, if I can find a female one with enough clothes for my taste (to go with siblings' Arrancar projects)
Izumi-sensei (FMA, white dress + jacket because I don't want to freeze)
and whatever else eats my brain between now and then
At a guess: Miranda and Risai are likely, I'd love to bring Kaya if she does not take up an entire suitcase on her own (oh, THORES), and something Bleach. The rest is all up in the air.

i am totally being itachi, light and yuuki for sure
for 2010 or later, i'm hoping to be near, gaara, CC, and a character from claymore. but thats for the future.
so keep an eye out! ^w^ when i'm itachi i'll be walking around with a deidara.
when i'm light i'll be walking around with an L. L will have white wings and i will have black wings.
and when i'm yuuki i will be walking around with the night class yuuki. she will have a really big scythe. >:3

@nekovamp13: lol. i went on youtube and looked some up from the last K-con. omg i laughed! XD it was amazing!!! i also looked up all of the random dancing. i believe it was the second day? idk. but one of the dances was to the Sailor Song and my two friends (one a VK character from night class and the other a random Chuunin) were in the middle of the circle doing the dance. :3 there's a vid of it! XD and there's also a vid of my other friend ash trying to catch a squirrel with her poke ball.
@spiffygirl101: lol. i'm tiny too but i tend to make really big impacts when i randomly glomp my friends at school! XD i almost made one of my stronger/tougher friends fall over! >.>

Nice! The mask should have red in it. I'm guessing your dress with have the red clouds? It would tie your whole body together, rather than just the dress.
Sven has an eye patch, so my mask might just have one eye hole! And I guess my Eve could just have a black one. She'll be wearing the black dress you see her in when you first meet her.

The only cosplay I have planned is kind of a secret. It's from Guilty Gear though. It's going to take a lot of time, money, and effort if I bring anything else it will be something I've previously made. So if anything else I'd bring my Miria from Baccano! or Cassandra from Soul Caliber II.

And as for the elevator problem. I say don't risk it breaking and just take the stairs. If you're friends won't help, then just ask whoever is near. I know for a fact that at least one person would be happy to help. You could also ask a worker there to help you!

I'm really happy, because I got 20 for a present and so I have 50 now! I was sad before because I spent most of my money for prereg for kcon, but now I can get more stuff to work on cosplays!!!

Yeah, it should be fun. Won't be nearly as massive or bulky as my Azul Cannon from last year, but it will still be a nice hefty prop. Ward's weapon is a massive anchor/harpoon-type projectile that he just lobs at the enemies. So, I plan to make that. It's about as tall as he is, or a little shorter. So, yeah, that should be a nice little project. ^_^ I'll get some Ward shots up here soon.

That was an amazingly epic prop (lavi's hammer) if there ever was one....it was great for the d-gray man photos (Higuma...hubby...was the Earl last year and I was Road)....having trouble with this years cosplay....can't decide. My kids have already picked out their cosplay though, lol. Johnny is going to be Sora, again(because he says he's the REAL Sora...it must be great to be 6 years old), Mikayla says her cosplay is a secret(lol), and Faith wants to be the Kumoricon mascot or a Pokemon trainer(again).

@Higuma- pick a favorite anime and choose characters from that.
I started right after kcon 08, mainly because school started and I talked with my friend and knew what we would cosplay as...I just got so excited about it, that I wanted to start right away. Plus, it makes it easier to get them done early so you can plan for other cosplays, and possiblly get them done in time for the con.

This next paycheck will be the biggest I'll get in a while so I may use it for the costume and save all the little ones for the con itself. Also my tax return will help out a lot.

Yeah, makes sense. My costumes aren't too bulky and are easy to move around and sit, etc...Plus, it's just more fun to see all the reactions of the people there. It won't be too bad on the MAX, especially once I get closer to Portland XD

Hotel rooms are very nice to have, but when you only live 30 min away and don't have the money, it just doesn't make sense...

I think unless you want to buy a wig or cut your hair, Misa would be your best bet. Other than DN, there are quite a few animes with females with light brown hair, or close to it. If you look around you'll find some.

Ugh, my k-con plans got changed due to the fact that I need time to do scholarships and such.
For now it looks like I'll be rewearing my White Mage and Cassandra I'm working on for Sakuracon and I'll make Ukraine from Hetalia.
But who knows! I might swap one out for Baccano! or make a Jet Set Radio cosplay. I am just not sure yet.

well i got some plans but i dunno when ima wear em all.
Shadow is friday, along with PJ Shadow. I'm making that costume like right before the con at my skiniest. dont want to make myself a skin tight suite and then gain a few pounds. also gonna have a flat abdomen when i make it i hope.
Saturday aprently I'll be galavanting around as princess peach for a few hours in the morning for skits, I blame Nikki for this one. THis is the only time Im wearing Peach at the con though sides some of sunday. THe rest of Saturday I'm gonna probally be Levi or Rosette. Likley Rosette.
Sunday is a lot of changing costumes. I gotta be Peach for the video game shoot if were doing one (either that or kairi or shadow, either of them work) but also Sunday is the cosplay skits so I gotta be Peach for one of the skits (any one say quick backstage change?) then change for the other skit (bangbangneko) into whatever they need me to be. Then back into Peach for anyawards.... Bella you better be willing to lace my corsette for me back stage
then for the rest of that day im wearing Rosette and Lavi, switching between the two when I feel like it.
Monday is mostly Rosette, and some other cosplay for Chess

:P I'm am not allowed to wear contacts because of previous eye problems *ahem* getting permentent marker ink in one, then having to wear glasses all 2nd grade - 4th... and then let's not forget getting salty crackers in both eyes... I blame spiffy for that one cuz she gave me the crackers... I may be getting a baby sitting job too maybe... right now I have 205$ and I need $353.85 for my cosplays...work work work!

We had some pretty bad experiences with that spray on stuff. Maki and I were out on the balcony of the hotel spraying my hair pink, somehow we knocked the spray can off the balcony from the 12th floor into the parking lot below. It was like it was all in slow motion. I was terrified it was going to hit a car. Not to mention it took so much of it to turn my hair sufficiently pink. But you're right that a bad wig would be worse.

I think I am going to use up all the camera battery (up to 37hours on lowest quality) by getting videos and pictures of the Kumori-con ;D. I have so many 1$ wigs in my closet and they are all tangled together so when I tried pulling them apart most of them lost some hair but its a good thing they were all cheap! :P yay I'm earning $7.50 per 2 hours at the new job :D

:( so many people dressing from Eureka 7 I can only do 1 cosplay and it is my very first con so Yay. I never had trouble with spray on hair dye even though I get the 1$ ones from walmart they still work nicely... I am happy that I am able to get a wig but I may still need to use the spray... :-\

that's a horrible experience! I had to spray my hair out on the balcony of my hotel too, so i'm glad that didn't happen to me! I'll probably be using spray again this year, because it's cheap, and I don't have a job yet (still in school) But as soon as i get the money up, it's wig time!

I probably would use the spray, but I have big problems with asthma and so it wouldn't be the best idea...Even though wigs are expensive, they're going to be my best bet.

very true. That stuff is so potent, that even if you cover your nose and mouth, you inhale a crapload of fumes. ASTHMATICS BEWARE!!!

If you do have to use the spray on hair dyes then I suggest investing in those paper masks people use when dealing with fumes. It will probably save your lungs from irritation and your brain cells from dieing from inhaling fumes.

Someone went ahead and made human forms of all the Pokemon and it's just called Pokemon Gijinka. I googled what it meant and a wiki gave me this
Gijinka (擬人化) is a Japanese word meaning "humanoid", "personification", or "anthropomorphic", although the use of the word outside of Japan has come to be slightly different from the use of the word "anthropomorphic" in the anime/manga/furry/etc communities. Rather than referring to just any animal with human characteristics, a gijinka is most often a fan re-design of an animal-like character from an animation or graphic novel in a human or humanoid form, (ex: a Digimon or Pokémon) or of a humanoid version of the artist's own original animal-like character.

I ordered a trench coat for my costume... they sent the wrong one :( :'(... need to order new one :P... and 3 monthes ntil I can buy the main part of my costume... Video camera price went down again so thats a good thing for when it comes time to order it. :)

That makes me kind of glad that my Scon plans fell through, now all I get to focus on is KCon! A cosplay manager? Lol! Maybe I do need one :D
Oh, and if I were you I'd just book a hotel soon since you don't have to actually pay for it until about a week before the con, or something like that.

interesting. I try to make all my cosplays extremely cheap even if in reality they should be really expensive(I;m like my. crabs in that aspect except I make cheap look good)

as far as my plans go I'm still editing peach.... as far as my list goes this is what I have:
Rosette-buy wig, buy fabric, sew costume, buy shoes, make guns, study how to make a habit stay on ones head
Shadow- need to finnaly order the body suite and make the alterations, and figure out how I'm going to do the face.
Wolfwood- buy suite and make giant cross, and order wig.
secret- looking at wigs atm and having to wait till summer to do some work on it.
for others.....
Lolita Mario- get overals, Saharas measruments, under skirt and finish design.
Lolita Luigi- get models measurments, buy fabric and overalls, have to wait till mario design is done. (their matching)
Lolita Yoshi- dont even have a finished rough of the dress yet @_@
Lolita Bowser- got rough and looking at some cheap bright orange wigs, all having to wait till model decides shes reached ideal weight.
Daisy- buy fake boobs, figure out how to give model hips, buy hoop skirt, and some how give model lessons in being a woman
-secretx6- buy body suite and satin. and get lots of fiber glass.

Well, Kahlan and I just went supply shopping yesterday. So, cos-season has officially begun for us! We got the supplies to make our respective props. I am remaking Barret's gunarm and she is making Aeris' ultimate weapon, Princess Guard. So yeah....good stuff all around. ^_^

it was fairly windy yesterday with on and off of rain encluding today... I hope everything will be okay for the con. I've been trying to work on our skit but then I end up getting side tracked then I totally forget about what I was doing. I've been doing some research lately and I found some wigs that are really nice. I think I'll buy one for my Ichiru costume. I'm catching up on classes fairly good but I still might fail either way... atleast I'll have all my stuff done *heh* I've been getting into role playing with friends and its extremely fun especially since its my favorite anime ^_^ I got a program where it has my favorite character from that anime sitting on the top left of the window I'm using. Its cute and I even took a picture of it.

Did a bloody Euphemia for Sakuracon, so I have the right wig.
Whenever I re-do a character I've already done for a con, I'm determined to improve it for the next one.
I've already found methods to make the wig look more accurate to the character. <3
This will be a completely new outfit though. Gathering reference pics now.
Those are the only ones for certain at the moment!
I've discussed the possibility of doing Legato from Trigun with some friends who want to potentially do Trigun cosplay.
I may improve my Suzu (Peacemaker Kurogane) costume that I debuted at Sakuracon.
And Takano from Higurashi no Naku koro Ni may see some action again.
Plus there are at least 3 SUPER-EPIC!! cosplays I have yet to do...

Not always. I mean some people tend to try to do one since they have a whole bunch of characters from the same series and they all know each other an what not. but it takes a lot of planning and calculations.

Its always nice using your real hair. It makes things a lot easier. Though I wouldn't suggest using your real hair unless you can actually style it the same way. If you can't it makes you look lazy (in my opinion, though it could signal someone with not a lot of money =/ )

Like last year with all the L/Light cosplayers...Most of them didn't even try.

Yeah, I've seen it, and I'm trying to follow it. But it's one thing to read it and understand, it's another to actually try and do it.......
But I'll be only styling part of it, since I'll also be wearing a hat I made. And I need to work on getting my brown eyebrows to match the color.

I'm very lucky for 2 reasons
a: costume is made of fleece, so it's naturally fluffy and sticks to skin.
b: I made the arm so close to my skin that it hugs my arm without support, but just in case it doesn't, there's fashion tape available anywhere~

Well I bought the costume, and most of the detailing is very simple. Most of it is painted, I just need to do a few more layers on some of it and then I will be good.

I've finally got around to cutting my hair~
I wanted to go for a cute look for Kumori chan, and I wanted to be able to have short enough hair that it wouldn't be a half hour project trying to get into a wig.
So I cut it SHORT. MUAHAHAHA

I've also updated my lineup, since I'm working more now, I have more money but less time to actually work on cosplays, so I cut a few and replaced one. I'm not doing Chingling anymore, I'm now doing Glaceon's Gijinka ver.
I realized after I replaced her, she has the same hair I do :) I might just get some kool-aid to dye my hair with for the con, and wash it like crazy when I get home XD

Wear it a bit, I did that with my Mai costume right before I left for Sakura I wore it around town, and got some funny and.... interesting stares. I'm not saying you should walk around with one shoe on, try walking around your house for awhile, see if anything happens, trust me, you'll be glad you did, I hate convention mishaps D:
Which reminds me, I still haven't heard anything about the cosplay Repair Booth position I applied for >.>

I couldn't do that with my Mai costume, my mom would have flipped if I walked around her house with just a mini wrap skirt on, trying to fix my one piece shirt. She had a hard enough time seeing me leave for the convention in it XD

it looks like your best bet is to make boot covers. I tried this and didn't go over so well because I was trying to do it myself and I really needed another person. But there are tutorials on how to do them all over the place. http://greyfinch.livejournal.com/26087.html I'll look for the others latter but this one gives you an idea of what needs to be done.

Yeah, when I wore my Roxas wig on the last day of school, everyone reconized me, but kept thinking that I actually bleached my hair, (until I took the wig off later that day) XD

There are some people that I only know them when they wear a wig. Take Missy for example. I didn't recognize her for a while without her Axel wig on XD

When I first got on to forums, my picture was my Ichigo Mew Mew photo. (I do not very much like that costume anymore)
So when I went to a meet up I thought no one would recognize me with out my neon pink hair. Well, none of them knew me at con anyways, but still, I was so freaked that no one would recognize me!

It's always fun going to meet ups, especially when people don't know what you look like. I did that and someone reconized me when I mentioned who I was going to cosplay.
Probably the most fun is when you're crossplaying. People think I'm a guy until I start talking to them XD

- Participating in the dance contest with Rhe in Toradora! cosplay (We already have our dance picked out)
- Making things symmetrical as Death the Kid
- Being a stoic vampire and chillin' with mah fellow vamps... on the last day? I'm not entirely certain.
- Hanging out with my cosplay chums and making new friends along the way.

Last year I didn't go to pretty much anything.
I went to cosplay chess, and other than that I ignored everything else.
I think I somehow ended up in the middle of the Naruto shoot even thought I was Ichigo Mew (seriously, a bunch of those pics, if you look through them, I'm in the back ground).
I just hung out with friends.

last year I went to all the dances and 1 or 2 panels each day. =]
I also had a VK photoshoot on the last day. So I think I had a very well-rounded experience!
this year I'm hopefully going to do the same, as I will be taking my friend and this will be HER first con.
The only difference is that school for us is SUPPOSED to start the tuesday after labor day, but this year they decided to start school on Sep 1st......ajklhdsl! So instead of leaving at around 6:00 in the morning, we will leave around 11:30 ish on Friday so we can get in town before it gets dark.
does anyone know when the pre-reg line opens on Friday?

it's driving me crazy! I had this whole thing planned so my friend could stay the night at my house so we could wait all night until it was time to leave!
now we have to load up the night before. go to stupid school, and leave at 4th period or lunch. Not as exciting, but at least we have Labor Day off.

Me and Colleen are likely missing the whole day of Friday so that we won't be stressed and we can make our way up to Portland in good time. There's also the fact that we live three hours away :D
