http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-09-11/gonzo-gdh-gets-capital-reveals-crunchyroll-investment
so the company parent of Gonzo is starting to buy ownership of Crunchyroll. In case people aren't aware, crunchyroll been getting gonzo's anime very shortly after the JPN release, some of which requires a small donation(strike witches) and some that is free(Tower of Druaga, which is a good series btw, I'm thinking of cosplaying from it and they seemed to have Kylite as a character in the anime). Note: Youtube also gotten some of the free releases
do people think this may be the wave of the future for subtitled releases? I remember seeing US releases(dubbed) for download purchase, but as it is, Gonzo seems to be leading the way.

I think that the out-side-of-japan market needs something like this because otherwise fansubs will eventually kill the market.

Actually, some of the Crunchyroll guys are the people who used to run karaoke for Kcon.
