help with videos i have a sony handycam dcr-dvd205 and i dont know how to get the vid on the computer or edit them i have them on dvd witch i can watch and watch on the computer but how do i save them on the computer

I'm not entirely familiar with how this particular device works. I'm going to assume the files are saved as .VOBs. You should be able to copy the VOB files from the DVD onto your hard drive somewhere. After that, rename the extension for all of them from .VOB to .MPG (http://www.jakeludington.com/camcorder/20070430_rename_vob_to_mpeg_or_mpg.html).

Use the video editor of your choice to crop and edit. I personally use a combination of VirtualDub and Adobe Premiere, but you might have good luck using a program like Windows Movie Maker.
