Guys. Guys. Yelling "You all/I just lost the game" was funny for maybe pre-reg and Saturday.
Yelling it through the whole con was obnoxious, and not in the "Darn, I just lost the game!" way, but in the "ASDFGDF TENTH TIME I'VE HEARD IT THIS HOUR JESUS CHRIST SHUT UP SHUT UP" way.
Let's hope this fad/meme is dead by next year?

All of you should go and read XKCD. That image was taken from this (http://xkcd.com/391/) particular comic.
So when someone tells you that you've lost the game just tell them, "Thanks for informing me, but I read XKCD and I've already won the game. Have a good day."

I tried to yell something to that effect, but it was lost in the crowd of "I lost"s. I would have gone up and said it when it was all quiet, but that would be pretty equally obnoxious?

Every year has its own thing, and that was one of this years things :3 It's just all in good fun, I'm sure next year there will be something differnt to scream about.

I agree, indubitably. It was funny when someone would be walking along and all the sudden, "Ah dammit...just lost." as a simple statement...you know, PLAYING the game. However, when someone has a sign or shouts that I just lost, it was like telling a joke you heard by saying "well, I forget the first part but here's the punch line! ______".
Another thing that gets me, seemingly every year, is the constant marco polo'ing. Another thing that can be fun once in a while, but eventually when people do it, they might as well be going "ATTENTION!". At least pick a new name to mix it up, aye? =P Then again, I believe I'm starting to learn to live with it...

I'd never even heard of the "Marco Polo" game in a con context until this year. I mean, I knew of the pool game but I didn't know it had stretched beyond that aquarian confine.

This is more harmless than Kumo 06, where everyone was screaming yaoi at all times, even when a guy would just walk down a hall.

I'd never even heard of the "Marco Polo" game in a con context until this year. I mean, I knew of the pool game but I didn't know it had stretched beyond that aquarian confine.
That is...VERY surprising. I've heard it frequently at every con I've gone to. But even though it's common, it's not as annoying as "HURR DURR YOU LOST THE GAME" or Rickrolling.

For sure. This year compared to last year seemed levels above as far as the yaoi/yuri pestilence seemed to go. (And no I'm not saying yaoi and yuri themselves are a pestilence, I'm referring to the screams of yaoi everywhere by fankids.)
