Title: Is there a registration event happening Friday? (Aug. 29th)

So I was reading around the forums, and apparently there is something going on the 29th, a pre-reg event...is this what happened last year, where you get your lanyard and convention stuff (like the guide)?  And if this is happening and you don't go, will you not be able to pick up your lanyard/swagbag?

You can still get it but if you get in Friday night you wont have to wait in any line when the con actually starts. And a lot of people look at it as another day of the con because a lot of people dress up and sometimes go out to eat afterwards. If you didn't go you could still get it the next day or any day of the con.

its from 6 pm to 10 pm at the double tree.
