I don't mean to be a nag, but where is Kumori-Con's schedule? We're got 18 days until august 30th and I can only find mentions of its nonexistence in some mid-July forum posts.
The reason I'm pestering you about this is because my friend and I are planning to drive to portland for two of three days of the Con. If certain events, like the AMV contest, take place on Saturday, then my friend might have to take time out from work (she normally works Saturday).
If the complete schedule isn't ready yet, could you at least post a rough outline?

You will just have to wait. It's not ready yet, and they are trying there best to finish it. We the Yojimbo got a sample one to work with are shifts, but I'm afraid I can't post/share that, because it's not allowed. So the only thing I can tell you is have patience, and wait like everyone else.

Yes, everyone is very eager to get ahold of the finished draft. I expect the we might see one Thursday or Friday, but I don't plan on worrying over it until the meeting on Saturday.
We'll probably all be given access to it there.

I saw one somewhere. It looked pretty accurate to what I thought it would be. I mean, it was this year's and everything, but someone might have just slapped a '8' sticker over the '7'.

The schedule is pretty much complete (there are always some last minute tweaks), and has been sent to the printer. It should be posted on the website sometime this week, as soon as the web staff can get to it, but please keep in mind that these last couple of weeks are crunch time for us and people are doing what they can.
The AMV contest will be Saturday, with another showing Monday morning. Cosplay will be Sunday.

If it helps, usually the main big events happen on the first and second day (Saturday and Sunday).

One of the cons I go to (now in it's ninth year) only has the sched. printed on pieces of paper that are available each morning (i.e. Friday sched. is available Friday when you get there!) so I feel happy that we even have a pocket guide! (FYI said con also did not have con books available until the second day - woah. Makes us look like pros! Wait - we are pros! ;D )

Is it just me or is there a yaoi/yuri party listed for 18+ only? What about the one for minors? :<

The ones on the schedule are the traditional yaoi/yuri events. They are 18+ because they are after hours and only those over 18 are allowed out after curfew, even in conspace. The yaoi/yuri event you all have been planning on here is unofficial and so it probably isn't on the schedule, that is just up to you all to figure out and plan and organize for yourselves. If you want it to be for all ages, though, it's gonna have to be during "all ages hours".

Just one thing I noticed (and it may not even matter, but I thought I'd bring it up anyway). The "bio", if you will, for The Slants is from 2007 when their album had yet to be released. So, it really doesn't make a difference, but I wanted to let you know if you hadn't caught that. ^_^

Also a fangirlish question! Will there be posters or something there that we have them sign, or do we get to bring whatever we want? :3

And I'm sure the guys will sign anything you bring. I know when I went to the A-Key Kyo autograph session last year, they had posters and merch that they were selling with them, and then they of course signed it when I bought some. So, if anyone (like The Slants, for example) has their own merch then I'm sure they'd sign that, but I doubt anyone would turn you away if you brought something for them to sign instead.

Yay, return of the Polystyrene Prop workshop/panel! I missed it last year for something....don't remember what....but I'm stoked for that one. I am all about making top-notch props and making them durable, and I work with polystyrene immensely, so I'm looking forward to that one.

The Ouran Tea Party is listed. It's 9am - 12 pm. And it overlaps the ooey gooeyness of Kirk Thornton and Richard Epcar! I'll have to miss some the the Tea Party for them.
I already made a makeshift schedule :D And I'm happy because the DN photoshoot isn't overlapping anything, and we still get to pick a time for the MoHS one! :3

So sad because victoria was gonna be in a skit. ;__;. And we're also not mentioned in the huge list of panels in the front either.

Seeing how much time the Cosplay Contest takes up, and how little the Zipper Crusaders have finished... I don't know if I can do that anymore. But at least now I can plan just what the heck I want to do on all the days!

I think I figured out what happened. the 2008_area file has a ton of stuff on it. When I sent in the data had been working with a file that just showed food and a file that showed food and coffee and groceries. I might not have sent him the matching set.

"Let's see, maybe if we get out of the pre-meeting really fast, run over to the Richard Epcar Q&A, then get through the costume judging really fast, then go do our panel... No. Just... No."

I was a host last year, and I think it would be fine - however, it might depend on how many hosts and "customers" there are. It was pretty chaotic last time @__@ uwaaa

Talk about tea? Haha. Actually, my boyfriend works at a tea shop so he was going to talk about the teas we're serving, I'm going to have drawings for door prizes and maybe I'll bring some board games. If people want to leave early, then we'll just have more time to clean up afterwards.
I should come up with some lolita-themed party games. Name That Brand! Lolita Jeopardy! Pin the Cake Hat on the AP Model! I dunno. I throw tea parties at my house and they always seem to last for more than two hours, so it seemed like a good time limit to me. *shrugs*

My Favorite panel in the whole world (Fangirl/boy panel) I'm going to have to miss cause I'll be in line for the cosplay contest, I always line up when they start doing sound check and all that about 3-4 hours ahead of seating, but I can't bear to bring myself to only wait till there's 1 hour before it to go and line up.
I can't wait for the host party this year! I'm getting in line early for that as well

The Naruto photo shoot is at 9 am and by the time it's over the party will be at full capacity. It's ok I guess. I am going to try to BE a host at Sakuracon.

Yeah! That is the one I have had in mind for some time now. I have never seen anything even close to that awesome at Kumoricon, but hopefully they will surprise me this year and have (at least) 2, heh.

And yeah, the series is pretty ironic but hey, I don't think I'll ever not dig it.
And no, the cons are not actually that brutal, it is just not advised to make yourself that much of a hindrance in a public venue like that. Realistically, you would not even be let in if the staff noticed you dragging a taut rope or any rope behind you.
But no, you have nothing to fear. The con is an amazing, fun environment, as long as everyone follows the rules and doesn't act.....dumb, lol.

I'd be stoked to find this Zeiram figure I saw last year. I didn't get it last year when I saw it, because I went with a Moi Dix Mois DVD instead. If I saw it this year, I'd probably get it though. Outside of music, there aren't many anime related items I think I'd really be dying to get. My main focus is always music merch and memorabilia. Moi Dix Mois, Juka, Malice Mizer, Nightmare.....lots of good, rare Visual Kei and J-Rock finds.

is anyone else a bit upset with the schedule? Those under 18 only get one hour of the dance for the entire con! Also, the Karaoke Audition times don't line up with the time on the rule page, and where is the competition itself on the schedule?

Nope! The curfew has been extended to 1am on Saturday and Sunday so we can have more time to dance. So that means we get from 11pm - 1am on Sat, and 10pm - 1 am on Sun (if you include the masquerade). That's 5 hours of dancing! W00t! ;D

So it's looking like Monday is going to be my slow day. I mean, I know the con ends that day, but I really only have three events noted that I need to attend. So I can either wander about for most of the day, or try to focus on taking tons more photos. I'll probably end up doing that last one no matter what else I'm doing, heh.
I'll use that day to try to break my thousand photo limit, lol.

Relatively speaking, Sunday is slower than Monday for me. I mean, there's Cosplay Chess, Closing Ceremonies, and two photoshoots that I'm interested in on Monday. That adds up to around 6-7 hours of activities within half a day. On the other hand, all day Sunday I've only got 10.5 hours, with a much weaker lineup of events, aside from the hentai panel.

Three photo shoots for me Sunday. I'll be done around 1 but still from 9 to 1 I am going to be running around like a crazy person.....I may even have to change costumes in a 30 minute gap x.x

I'm attending The Slants concert, the Rave, my own Panel (Cute Crafts! Check it out in the Panels board.. </shameless plug>), the wapanese for weaboos for the lulz and maybe the cosplay contest.
I dont know what I'm going to do the rest of the con! xD i expect walking... lots of walking... and hopefully I'll find cute stuff in the dealers room! I always have extra cash because I think there will be lots of cute things... only to find 8 million naruto or bleach related items.

I think that may be an attempt to get rabid otaku's to get some sleep.. Some of us go through the entire con on nothing but caffiene..(Not me! Caffiene makes me sick... give me bishies!)

Sakuracon is 24 hours, actually. At the last one, I stayed up all Sunday night at an unofficial panel, till' 8AM (when I had to leave). That said, I would very much support longer Kumoricon hours. So would the makers of "5 Hour Energy Drink."

True... Hah, I have friends in my room aswell. Sadly the laptop my dad's bringing is a piece of junk.. The thing was made in the 1990's I think, and weighs about 20 pounds. You can't really watch videos on it, because it stutters, and pictures take a long time to load.. It'll be decent for forum checks though.
