The July general meeting will be held on Saturday, July 19 from 1pm-5pm at our hotel, the Doubletree Portland-Lloyd Center.
All general meetings until the convention will be held at the hotel.
Important announcement for potential staff: To be assured of having your name and staff position listed in the staff list in the con book, you must register as staff no later than at this meeting. Registrations within a few days after the meeting might make it in, but not if it would risk causing us to delay printing.

This is the last meeting I'll need a ride to!
Yay!
Anyone want to meet up for lunch before the meeting? We can make sure the restaurants up on Weidler are still there!
-
I wouldn't mind joining in for lunch. It's been many many moons since I have been over in the Lloyd Center area.
-
I'm definitely planning to make it to this one.
-
yay i will totally be there... XD lunch at the sushi place near there sounds awesome... *needs sushi*
-
i would like to know what coordinators and higher level staff will be there.

This is a good question, any word on which execs and such will be there?
-
I will Skype in and cross my fingers that it works!
-
in a perfect world, they would all be there being this close to showtime. Seeing as this is most likely not going to be true, who am i going to be able to talk with about the artists alley? I know the treasurer will most likely be someone, but who should i be on the lookout for?

Exhibitors Hall Manager > Assistant Relations Director > Relations Director > Treasurer > Vice Chair
The Chair will definitely not be there as he is ogling underage foreign cosplayers working with a client in singapore for his work and won't be back in the states until August.

Just wanted to remind people who are driving or using Trimet to get to this meeting that the Steel Bridge is closed to motor traffic until August 24, so plan your detours accordingly. The nice thing about having 11 major Metropolitan bridges is that the closure of 1 only cuts the traffic flow by 9%, so congestion isn't a problem.

Just to be clear with everyone, this is the bridge the MAX goes over.

They're working on more of the green line. Now that I know it's servicing North Portland the line makes a LOT more sense to me. No offense to you SE people... >_>

Actually the Steel Bridge does not officially close until August 2nd, you will be able to get to the hotel just fine for the meeting tomorrow.
-
Two things about the meeting tomorrow:
1) We are anticipating having some problems getting internet access. So, Skype might not be possible at all.
2) Due to the dance happening after, we WILL NOT delay the start of the meeting for Skype. I am very sorry to any Skype people, but we are under a time constraint.
-
I can't find the meeting using Skype. :P
-
YEs, there was no skype, and the room was small.
However, we had a lot of good stuff happen, a lot of hard work and a lot of new people!
HELLO! new people!
I'll have the videos up soon. The meeting was audible despite all the shmucks standing in the back near me whispering nonstop. >:(
We did end up with a few board members looking like talking heads. Sorry about that.
I'll give the specific links later, but here's where you'll find them all.

I do believe we had internet access problems and/or technical problems getting Skype up and running.

Yeah, I discovered this right before we left for the meeting. I hope I didn't cause anyone to make detours unnecessarily. The next two meetings will be affected by the closure though.
-
I had an unfortunate detour. Like ending up on the wrong side of the river.
-
I understand the unavailability of Skype and will look to the videos and minutes - thanks!

I'm glad he gets so much use out of it.
Best birthday present ever.
