i started this topic in high hopes to make the tourney official at the 2005 con. I will post more info on the tourney as soon as i have the game.

OK. i have the game now and i have all but a few of the characters unlocked. the only characters i have to get are Sandaime(Hokage#3) and itachi. the tournament will have 2 parts. 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 team. i want this tourney to be official. post if you are interested.

yea, found that out, i was so happy with that @_@ hee, my sisiter just started playing... and shes pretty good... they really need a freeloader for the PS2... my friend had to buy one from japan to play narutoment hero or something like that... and his many other games ^^;

I have not problems making this an official tournament, but as for the official rules I will need to play it to decide what is appropriate. If you have any input on this, please feel free to email me at gaming@kumoricon.org

Gah! But I love playing as Itachi... He's my best char! :cry: Phooey, I'm going to have to work on a backup char... I usually pick with random when I'm fighting most people 'cuz with the exception of a couple people, it's not fair if I use Itachi since I play the game more than they do...

I know all about Ino. But I've also fought as her and against you enough to know about her fighting style and when to counterattack her moves. I'll find a way to get another char up to par with my Itachi fighting, just you wait and see >: )

Heh, as much as I hate to say it, Andre's gonna kick all our butts prolly ^_^;; He's not on the forums here, but he's REALLY good. As long as he's not using Shikamaru, I can beat him with Itachi, but otherwise, forget it. He's just too good :shock:

I love this game! I played it at Sakuracon. I would really look forward to a tournament at K-con.

I started playing a few days ago. Neji rocks my world. I still need to learn how to do combos. Also, someone said Hinata can counter anything, can Neji counter anything also?
BTW, are the tournaments going to be held on the Gamecube, and is Akamaru going to be banned too?

YES! I hate the doll >.<;; I finally found my new best char in Ten Ten, so I don't have to worry about Itachi being banned anymore :D

I'm going to koin the tourny and wing it (before that going to practice on the gamecube first to find a character i like) I hope i dont lose the first round

I'm still waiting to buy to game over here since I would like to see the price go down a little. So I haven't played it yet and I still need to buy one of those discs that lets me play international games on a US gamecube (whatever they're called has escaped my memory at the moment).

Please to not state rules for the tounaments as they have to be run by me first before they are official. I would love to hear any sugestions that you have for this tournament and they very well be made offical but please don't post them here if they are set in stone when I have not got a chance to evaluate this yet. Thats bull i cant believe you are going to limit the charecter what the hell is the point if you can only use the sucky players they put him in the game to be played with thats like playing Super Smash Bros and saying Bowser cant play!

Zenn isn't the one making the rules (I think). There may or may not be a ban on characters.

I agree that there shouldnt be a ban on chars, tho if there was a ban, thankfully it wont affect me now other than possibly block one of my most annoying opponents >.<

Speaking of the tournament, if there is anybody around the Eugene/Springfield area that would like to play, I have the game. I still have to unlock Orochimaru, Tsunade, Sandaime, Itachi, Mizuki, and the snake lady Jounin Elite (can't remember her name, dangit!). I would like to practice some before the tourney, and I can't find anyone near me that likes to play the game. So. . . .post away if you are interested.
On another note, how do you do Chouji's ("big boned" kid with scarf that eats chips) second super move? The one where he gets all big, but he bounces on the opponent instead of just rolling into them?
By the way, I like to use Tenten, Sasuke, Kakashi, Gaara, and Neji.

I believe it's down + X when he's in the red, but I dont use him too much, so I could be wrong.

Its a Gameshark-type program disc that basically fools the Gamecube into thinking the foreign game is really the correct region code so the system plays it properly. If you dont use the Freeloader then the Gamecube just throws out an error trying to load the disc and quits.

When Hinata's health is in the red, and her chakra bar is full, hit down+X and she'll get into a defensive stance for a short time. its during that time when she can counter specials as well as any other non-ranged attack

I honestly have no idea if the tournaments will interfere with any other scheduling

I was dressed as Dante from Devil May Cry 3 and I played as Neji.

I didn't dress as anybody, but I played as Naruto.

I was at the tournament (didnt cosplay, but friends and myself created the goggle squad) I played as Jiraiya in the tournament.

I was the Kiba who owned as Kiba ^_^..I never got off my Uber Gatsuuga ><...that makes me a bit dissapointed...u_u

Yeah I played as the 3rd because old people are fun! anyways I didnt do the best I could have done but I did alright..
I was very dissapointed when they cancled the team matches because it screwed my friends and I over and we had to fight each other in the first round

It was fun none the less but god everybody played as like either neji and orochimaru.
My friend ghudda played as konkaro and kicked some major hiney

I used Temari and Tenten in the tournament. I beat theJew's Orochimaru, which I was surprised at. Then I fought against a Neji with Temari, lost horribly, switched to Tenten, beat him horribly, then he switched to Orochimaru, did one combo on me, and I lost half my health. Dang it Tenten, why must you have low defense:(!
I'm using Temari, Tenten, The 3rd, Haku, and sometimes Kankuro. Theys fun!

Thought you might like to hear about this but according to lelola.net, they're bringing the Naruto games over to America beginning on March 1, 2006. (The first game, don't know about the others)
