Would an AMV to this be allowed in the contest? The video editor in me says yes yes, but the hardcore otaku says no no. What's your verdict, Guy?

For that matter, where do you guys think it falls in regards of being anime? It's the exact same formula as The Animatrix (a collection of shorts created and designed by various anime directors and in their particular style) and that was pretty well accepted by the anime community.

It may be Batman, but it's still anime. I personally would love to see a Batman: GM amv  :)

I agree. It's anime, simple and true. It's not American animation mimicking anime. It's actually anime. I want to watch it. I'll probably get it before I go watch the midnight premiere of The Dark Knight.

I'd go for it. It's some pretty top-notch animation.
