You know how people will only cosplay when small groups of friends, and always wish they were part of something more?Have you ever wanted to branch out and meet other cosplayers just like yourself? If you have you found the right thread!!

I am VERY interested in creating a cosplay group, where we all cosplay from a series, and go to conventions etc. etc.

Okay! So we have lots of things to do then, starting now.Here is the order of importance. We still don't have a complete group, but if you join you are more than welcomed to HELP US WITH THIS.

This is what you want to do in the group except cosplay. Such as website design, cosplay assisting, writing skits, etc.etc. So far we have about three people interested in web design, two in cosplay assisting. If you think of anything else, state it here please

Alright, good to know. I absolutely love to cosplay, but I can also take decent pics or do whatever the gorup is keen on, heh. So far my costumes have all been FF/video game related, but I'm certainly willing to branch out to other anime and whatnot. ^_^

Ahh... I'm sorry but I kind of really don't like Naruto, trust me, I've tried to get into it millions of times, plus I don't have enough money for Hinata's attire, it's expensive everywhere I look. And I do not have a sewing machine (college takes a bite out of me!) But I will take it into consideration once everyone has joined the group, I want at least 10-12 members. But do you know of any other shows/manga/games that you three like (those who want to do Naruto)? We can always compromise. And there are other people we have to take into consideration as well, not just myself.
Yes we will be having lots of internet conversations, I'm always on AIM/MSN, so please don't hesitate to add me. I would like it if everyone had either or of the programs, AIM would be a little better in a way if that's alright. But if you don't have AIM, that is quite alright. MSN will work perfectly.
Yes we can go to as many cons as we want, even the cons in California. But at least half of us should go, because then it would be easier in a way. Skits I am more than willing to do, but we would need to brainstorm ideas and things like that, and get it prepared, so I don't think we can do much at Sakuracon. Unless we do something hella quick. But I think the deadline passed [hitshead] I can't remember.
I am attending Sakuracon this year, so if anyone wants to see/hang out/etc. please don't hesitate to ask! We all have to meet each other anyways. XDD

They're both on my profile...I may have forgot to add it in the form....I think I did....xp As for other animes....A good one would be Inuyasha. Lots of characters, ect. The only problem with the anime is that the plot goes absolutely nowhere for about 50 episodes...-.-

Well, out of all the above mentioned anime, I only have mild experience with Furuba. I love that one so far, but I just have not seen/read anything of the others. So, cosplay would probably be out for me as far as those go, but I would be glad to help out with other people's costumes, props, production, promotion, the usual. ^_^

Ouran High School Host Club was mentioned, as well as Spirited Away (maybe we could do just general Miyazaki characters), and the Legend of Zelda.

Yeah, Miyazaki is always really good.....Um....I don't know if I'll be able to read any e-mails or get any IM's today....My father had a bit of a......Well, explosion. So, right now, my wireless internet is gone and I'm on the school computer....Bascially I can't do ANYTHING on the internetz....Poor Syd-chan...T.T...but, hopefully, it'll be up once my mother gets home, which I think is tonight. but, just kind of a heads-up.

as for names you know im brainstorming with you on AIM, but i go with what syd-chan said on AIM and go with something to do with our climate, rain and clouds and what not such as: silver rain, or dancing in the rain. something just cute and amusing

Would there be any way to incorporate dance in what we do? Maybe one of the skits or something could be like a musical or something. xD. I realize dances are boring -- unless you put character into them! :0 Even if you can't dance well, like if you have problems with coordination, you could cosplay as a character with that same problem or a character where very simple moves would be effective enough, and you could be in the dance.

Chiming in a bit late but LoZ would be really awesome. I'm not sure how strict we'd be on what actual game you'd have to be from, but I have a Pink Link in the works already. Complete with TONS of ideas for little extra props, and an Epona look alike I bought from a thrift store. It's one of those that a kid would wear as a belt, and it makes 2-3 different noises!!

eh, well if you live in Tigard its really easy if your near the Washington Square mall, you can just bus it. I think its the 45 that goes from Washington Square up to Portland but its been a while since I've lived down there. Dunno what you mean by being brave, worried about the traffic? or the urban campers asking for cash?

If I lived in Tigard then I wouldn't have a problem driving. But I live about a half hour from Tigard. If traffic is okay, then it usually only takes 20 minutes to get out there. But half hour + however long it gets to Portland. ~ ~

Yay, I registered on the forums and I am going to Sakuracon. My con schedule is pretty up in the air, so I'm fairly flexible. My only planned event so far is KH photoshoots :) And hanging out with KH peepz after.

it cant be smaller, if it is the text jumps up and down adn makes it impossible to read. the only other thing i could do is make the text move faster.

The Miyazaki photoshoot is gonna be on Saturday, 'cause I need to get my hair cut and I'm using my real hair for this costume, and I don't want to have to try to fit the ton of hair that I have under a wig that I'll be using on Sunday.

I talked to .. two other Miyazaki character cosplayers - one from the group, and one from not -and they were fine with it.
And why didn't you say so earlier?

It's making me sick.
Anyway, I have to wear my Ouran cosplay on Sunday, and I don't think I can fit all of my hair under a wig nicely. My hair is long. I have to use my real hair for this costume, and I can't if I get it cut.
I guess it has to be on Monday, then? I'll try to fit all my hair under a wig if I have to.

Well if we have a skit (IF, urg) Then it will most likely be Miyazaki (sp?) and the cosplay competition is on Sunday so some people may need to change costumes midday or something... It depends whether we to a skit or not. We need to decide soon because there are only 35 spots and I'm sure many have already been taken.
I think Monday would be a good photo shoot day myself.

It seems to me that we're not doing a skit.
I haven't seen two of the movies that people in our group are cosplaying from, and thus can't effectively write up something if I don't know the characters. The only thing I could think of that we could put in a skit would be Howl mistaking No Face for one of the Witch of the Waste's "henchmen", the purple-blob guys.
I haven't heard any mention of anybody else writing a script.
And I'd think we'd need to actually meet up and record the audio and practice timing a few times if we hope to do a good job.
I'm all for it; don't know about anyone else.

The Vampire Knight and TMoHS photoshoots are scheduled for Monday and two people from our group are going to those.
