Hello! This will be my first convention this year, and I'm hoping to run into other FF cosplayers! (Which will be likely, I'm sure.)

Depending on how much funds I can get I might get a Vincent costume together to fit into the crowd, my other ideas seem pretty simple but unique. We shall see we shall see... But you have a yunaish face that should be exiting to see!

Well, maybe you should try the spray-on stuff? I bought some for a friend who's attending the con with me as Paine. Hopefully it'll work out well.

Well, I ordered the majority of my costume from a commission site since I'm not crafty enough and unable to make actual free time to locate/make the whole thing. But I am working on my armbands and pistols. Hehe.
Of course, I haven't gotten my packages yet...

I am going to be AC Tifa (with red streaks if I cant get a hold of black temporary haircoler spray but I probably will ^-^ I wont have brown eyes either)
I will also be Heartless Aerith ;D That'll be fun
And Lucrecia Crestcent (because I love vincent Lol) ( I will have the black hair/ red streaks thing and just ay this is her back from the dead, and now an immortal like Vincent ^-^ So I might as well call it Lucrecia Valentine )

Ahh, finally! A post that suits me!
I'm going as a moogle this year.
I've yet to start on my costume, though. I need to save up $300 before I can get the fur, but then I'll start. I already have all the pattern's planned out, too!
OOH! And watch out for our skit this year, I'll be in the background, until the middle. Then I'm front stage for a minute, and I'll be sitting there after everyone else leaves. It'll be funny as... You know what. XD
Anyone else hear of a moogle going? I've seen a few, but none in full fursuits.

Wow mooncostumes.com is a REALLY good site! Opened me up to maybe doing a squall or reno (I look damn good in a suit XD).
Moogle will be sweet! Its awsome when someone can go out and find a way to do a cool cosplay thats hard to do. I wish I had a canine to make him Red XIII or .... something to have a live chocobo.
\/ yeah I don't think I could last more than a hour in a suit like that

For Kumoricon I will most likely be Irvine Kinneas since he's so rarely cosplayed and I like the character a lot. So... ladies~? =P *is instantly reminded of some comedian* But of course I can't remember the name of the comedian. XD

I was going to go as a chocobo... One of my friends was going to be a trainer and everything, but I decided spandex undersuit, with foam inserted, plus millions of feather sewn onto the skin? One, I have to deal with being a lowly high school student, with no job, and two... ICK! I don't have the money, nor time, to install a fan, and I'd die without one.
In cons to come, though, I do plan to do much more complicated fursuits then a simple moogle. Senior year, I'll probably come down as a chocobo, if I have enough money and time to put it together. XD
I guess I should ask now, anyways:
1. Does anyone know of a cloud, or sora... That's going to K-Con? Our skit group is starting to get nervous. XD
2. Any suggestions for a second costume, or a cosplay for '09? Aiko loves fursuits!

So I wound up getting my package with my costume in it today--turns out it's too big! Time to make some alterations. Luckily, it's just the skirt and top. o__o;;
Gabbiani, (haha, your name reminded me of a time when I wanted to go as Relm! Maybe I'll do that sometime!) go as Quina! I can't even imagine someone going as Quina--it'd definitely be super cool. I'll have to take a picture with you to show my brother!!

That would be me. Yeah, I had to attach elastic around the tounge so I could wear it like a necklace and put it in my mouth for pictures. But sometimes people would snap the pictures too early...(that's how my picture on Fansview looks, I'm raising it, but it's still in my hand)
And aww shucks you guys, thanks. I'll see about wearing it again, at least for a photo shoot.

Well, my friend Hope made most of it. I just made the tongue, added the details to the hat, and bought the frog and slippers. She did all the rest.

I will be at the ff photo shoot but not in it. I want to get pictures ^_^ One of my friends is doing an original version of Tifa. Its just an altered AC Cloud costume.

Would that happen to be BlackRose? Or is she the one who made it at least? I think I saw something like that in a photo somewhere.
And yeah, I am actually considering visiting other photoshoots for the purpose of taking photos instead of being in them, lol. An odd concept, right? jk but it is pretty new to me. Up until now I've only gone to the FF shoots even though there have been other ones I've been interested in to see.

yes it does! I ordered an amphigory wig for mine and had to cut the bangs lol Hers looks really awsome!
I plan to grow my natural hair out and cut it like tifas since my natural hair color is dark brown.

It will take a while. On average hair grows about 2 inches per year so.....

my hair was this short at the begining of 6th grade and as long as tifas AC Hair (wich is to the middle of her back) at the end of 8th grade ^_^ But I had to cut it because I dyed it too many times and it was damaged.

I am trying to be very gentle with my hair so I don't have to chop it all off after bleaching it.

Alright, well since I can't find a better thread, let's just make this the official Final Fantasy shoot thread. What time would work for people? I was thinking somewhere between noon and 3:00pm. The Cosplay Contest is at 5 and I'm not in it, but I'm sure lots of people would want to go, so maybe not between 5 and 7. So yeah, what times would work?

Yeah, the amount of prep that goes into the contest is the reason why I didn't enter this year. I wanted to to establish myself as THE Barret Wallace, but it just takes up too much of the day. I didn't want to risk missing the FF Photoshoot for it.

Well it is nice of you to be willing to help out, and don't let us steal you away from it. Wherever you are, you'll be doing something awesome. I think that is the number one guarantee of Kumoricon, lol.

yeah but I don't want to be suck in a room practicing my run on stage and die 30 million times I mush rather walk around go ice skating (thats the day we are thinking about doing it) and take pictures.

Ah, that makes sense. Maybe you can see if your group can go first, then you can get it done with and go. Or maybe you can request the final spot, that way you can try to do as much as you can between rehearsal and the real performance. But the first option would probably be safer.

So I'm going to assume that the FF photo shoot is on Sunday between 5 and 7? (I think I read that right..)
I'm only going for one day (unfortunately) so I can arrange it for Sunday.
So how will we know where to meet and whatnot? :[

Oh, no, I was saying that the Cosplay Contest is from 5-7pm, so we should try to schedule the FF Photoshoot at some time other than those two hours, heh. Sorry about the confusion. I was thinking any time before it would work. If I remember right from last year, the FF Photoshoot was at 2:00pm, and it seemed to work really well for everyone. I'll just throw a time out there to get things started/solidified and if anyone has any suggestions/objections, go right ahead. I'll say 2:00pm would work well. I mean, however you slice it, people are going to be missing something for the shoot, it's unavoidable no matter when it is scheduled. But I think early afternoon could work well enough. So, yes, how's 2:00pm on Sunday? At the moment there are no other Photoshoots scheduled for that time, so at least there's that.
And as for a meeting place, I think the park could lend some great spots. There's the fountain, a few statues, some benches. I'm trying to think of more "fitting" areas, but I can't really think of anything at the moment. I wouldn't want everyone to have to ride the max anywhere for the photoshoot, so the park seems like a reasonable location. The park is small enough that any FF cosplayer should have no problem immediately spotting other FF cosplayers therein, so I don't know if a solid meeting spot is too necessary. But, if anyone has thoughts on this or anything else I've said, chime in. ^_^
