Heeey guys. Er, I'm new to the boards and thought it'd be best to give an introduction topic like most normal people. I'm not normal, but I act my hardest.
I'm not really new to Kumoricon, I've gone to the last two most recent ones. First one was my first con ever, the second was the first I (half-heartedly) cosplayed - as Rue, no pictures because nothing really warranted them and no Tutu fans seemed to notice me anyway. This year, I was thinking of going as Misato Uehara (rather, Mai Tsuzuki) of NANA fame, or perhaps begging my mother to make me a duck costume so I can walk around as Ahiru.
Interests-wise.. uhm.. I like anime and manga. Obviously. Favorites include NANA, Princess Tutu, Gokinjo Monogatari, Peach Girl, and BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad. I'm not a huge fan of widely mainstream titles, partially because shounen just fails to strike a chord with me (unless it's BECK or Eureka 7, but those have romantic elements going on in them) - and partially because of their fanbases. I can only walk around and hear about so much Deidara/Tobi shipping before I have to bust a cap in somebody's- Erm, I mean, do something bad. No offense to those who like Naruto, of course, I just dislike the obnoxious yaoi fangirls (note obnoxious and not yaoi - yaoi is fine, I grew up with gay men) and guys who walk around wearing a swirl headband on their head all day. Feel free to be obsessive, just do it away from my immediate vision.
I like music. <3 No Doubt and Barenaked Ladies, popular-wise. Unpopular-wise, Candy Butchers and Abandoned Pools. Japanese-wise, Ringo Shiina/Tokyo Jihen and Olivia Lufkin.

Nice to meet you Asako!!! I just recently go into Peach Girl and am about 4 episodes in. That Sae sure is terrible...does the series get any better?
