sammiches make me think things are going badly, 'cause in the Navy we only got sammiches when we had no steam to cook, and my life was hell, because I was in the hole, where it was hot dark and nasty, doin' drills, playing at fighting fires, killing the boilers, lighting fires in the boilers,no sleep,  and all they give me is a bologna on balloon bread sammich!

One of the nice things about working at Taco Bell during graveyard is free food.  One of the things I like to do is make a baby grande quesadilla sammich.  Take two gordita bread shells, place cheese, steak, creamy jalapeno sauce, & a little more cheese, slap 'em together, & grill.  Oh good golly is it good!  (I also like making regular quesadillas with chili inside).

chris and i got taco bell last night, we havent had much lately cuz it always seemed like our order would be burnt
when i checked the food we were amazed since all of it was there and my chicken quesadea wasnt burnt and the first slice tasted really good

it wasn't till we got home that i realized there was no chicken in my chicken quesadea :(

i shoulda had a sammich

No chicken in the quesadilla is actually a common problem, and a big part of that is the buttons.  Either the ordertaker mishears you & enters Cheeze, or accidently pushes cheeze instead of chicken because they're next to each other & look alike.  As a trainer, I try to get the new people to avoid that mistake ASAP, ASAP, ya know?

Did you get a receipt?  If so, (which you should ALWAYS get one), look to see if it said "Q-CK."  IF it said that, then the problem was the steamer not reading the order correctly.  "Q-CHZ" means it was an ordertaker mistake.

You should come to my Taco Bell when I'm working.  I'll make the things myself, if I can, so it'll be the best F'N quesadilla you've ever had!

"u" is not a word. Did you mean to say "you"?  I know you all have busy lives, but do you really not have time to type those two extra characters?  What have you done with all that time you have saved?

should have thrown in some fresh basil leaves, and maybe a little parmesan, fresh ground black pepper.

That reminds me of Ryan's Breadbasket when I was in middle school. Get a recession sandwich there for 17 cents. Lettuce mayo and bread. We'd load up on the condiments to make it more of a meal. Buy 4 sammiches, load with parmesan cheez, and what else did they have lying around? Dunno, but George would steal all the lemons for tea and order a glass of ice water, and make lemonade with them. They hated us.

Buying consistently good bread here in Eugene is tough. The good stuff gets old by the time I get off work, and can go buy some. But then I just butter it and woof it down.
