Title: Anime Bento Festival
Post by: kittyminion on September 07, 2007, 12:28:52 am
I love seeing titles on the big screen, so I thought I would share this event I found with everyone. The Regal Theatres are showing a few select titles in the big screen for one night.

September 19 -- Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles

September 20 -- Fullmetal Alchemist The Movie Conqueror of Shamballa

September 26 -- Lupin the III: Castle of Cagliostro

September 27 -- Karas the Prophecy

I already have my tickets for FMA at Evergreen. :)

Sounds like a party to me Mustash!
Maybe it could be the Pre-Election Pocky Club meeting.... we've got some new members I'd love to meet outside the convention after all.

Oooh, I just watched the FMA movie a couple days ago, and I am still on a high from it. I must see it on the big screen. That and Karas too. Thanks for the heads up!

KARAS Showings....

Bridgeport 18     Tigard   OR   97224
Valley River         Eugene   OR   97401
Old Mill Stadium 16   Bend   OR   97702
Lloyd Center 10 Cinema      Portland   OR   97232
Evergreen Parkway Stadium 13   Hillsboro OR 97124
Division Street 13   Portland   OR   97236

Bridgeport for Karas is probably the bestplan since most of the people who've shown interest so far live closer to that than Evergreen. There's also a slim chance we'll be able to eat at one of the yuppy restaurants in Bridgeport before hand (that always seem to piss me off so much).

Should we start buying tickets for the 7:30pm showing at Bridgeport?
I'll include it in my Pocky Club newsletter if we all agree.

You'll be at PSU, right? Well, getting to Bridgeport from downtown isn't too difficult. I used to have to do it a lot. The 12 to Sherwood, get off at Tigard Transit Center, and then the 76 to Tualatin, I think. You may want to double check on that one though.

Actually, you could take the 96 Express (http://trimet.org/schedules/r096.htm) and get down to Tualatin really fast, you can be there at about 2pm.

So those of you who visit Bridgeport often, where should we meet for a club dinner before the movie? The 27th is a Thursday so I actually don't get out of work until 5, and that's up in Beaverton. Vallie gets out of work at 6 so she'll miss the dinner but she can make the movie.

Anybody able to pick me up in Beaverton at 5?  ;D

Ohh I'll probably go see FMA film, since I STILL haven't seen it! I know I'm ashamed XD
tee-hee
Plus my classes don't start until the 24th, which is delightful. :DDD

does vallie want a ride? chris and i wouldnt mind waiting killin an hour to get her as we'd be in the area (chris work me school) could probably get to bridgeport area by 6:30 and could make it for dinner, hopefully 6:45 at the latest.

@lit_of_fey: we could probably snag you too if you want, not sure about getting you home though. We can take you back to 99W and you can take a 12 which goes right into downtown, if there isn't one at that time from Bridgeport. Better check the bus schedules first...

Mustash, a ride from you would be great! The noodle bar was OK when I ate there so I'm down with that.

I'm sure Vallie would appreciate a ride as well when she gets out of work at 6pm. How long do you guys think it'd take you to get down to Bridgeport at 6:15 on a Thursday afternoon? :-\

I'm looking on the site and I don't see *times* for any of these movies. What time is the Lupin movie being shown? If it's too late I can't go since I'll have bowling league that night.

Well, there is only one showtime for Lupin III, and it is 7:30pm. It will be showing at the folowing theaters: Bridgeport (Tigard), Lloyd Center 10 (Portland), Evergreen Parkway 13 (Hillsboro), and Cascade 16 Cinemas (Vancouver). Buy tickets here: http://www.fathomevents.com/upcoming/locations.aspx?eventid=661&zip=97062&eventdate=9/26/2007 (http://www.fathomevents.com/upcoming/locations.aspx?eventid=661&zip=97062&eventdate=9/26/2007)

Well crap, I'll have to miss it then.

How did you find the times? I didn't see them anywhere on the site.

The times are displayed once you click on "Order Tickets" for whichever theater you select. At the order tickets page it says the times, in this case, the time.

;~; Dangit.
The closest theater for that to be is in Seattle.
And imagine, I wanted to see a non-warped version of the FMA movie.

Karas was fun but I'm glad I can get the sequel next month. There were a lot of unanswered questions.

Speaking of questions, where were you Eve? I had your stuff with me.
