So I've got my first set of images from this year's con posted to flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pieisexactlythree/sets/72157601834155643/). These are just the pics I shot with my cheezy little point-and-shoot digicam. In a couple days I'll have a much larger and higher quality set of my 35mm shots up.
Also, since the flickr photopool I set up last year seemed popular, I think I'll do it again. Some time in the next week I ought to have a public group ready for you all to join. I look forward to seeing all your photos!

What days were you at the Con?
Saturday and Sunday.
Anybody who wants to use these may have at it. I took them and posted them for the purpose of sharing them. But stay tuned, as I said, these are just the digitals. The 35mm set will be ready soon and should be much higher quality. I shot six rolls of 24, so there'll be plenty. I actually spent an entire roll on the Sailor Moon photoshoot!

That's exactly what made it so good! (though to be honest, my best photo, technically speaking, was taken right near the window upstairs, with my back to the curtains, which diffused the light nicely)

Can we convince you and your digital camera to help with the the Hall Cosplay Contest next year?
Just as a photographer mind you, not as the organizer.
All you'd need to do is upload your photos to a computer each night and give your opinion of the best cosplayers. I'm writing up the guidelines for whoever runs it next year and having a photographer on board will help immensely. Especially a photographer who takes good pictures with proper lighting as opposed to me, who was snapping photos in the depths of the exhibitor's hall. :-\
