FF11 had armor sets that are stylized versions of "classic" FF armor outfits (like the ones in the recent FF3 for DS), called Artifact Armor.  If you GIS "final fantasy xi artifact" you can see a bunch of them, the white mage one is especially popular for cosplay.

Im actually trying to do a custume from Final Fantasy XI a Corsair AF set. Though I am haveing probs with the hat and getting the details, so im not sure if it will be ready in time.
