It worked out really well for Pirates, who wants to join us for the Transformers movie in a couple weeks? I'm sure we can take over at least ONE whole row this time!
We have a little more time to plan now, but I still think that a later showing on Friday Night will work the best for everyone involved. There's no convention meeting that weekend so you don't have to worry about missing that by sleeping in.
Cedar Hills Crossing seemed to work for everyone. I think we should meet up there again. We can probably arrange more rides from the MAX line as well if need be.
-
Leashy = Will be there ^^ as long as it is after 8ish or 8:30
-
I think I can tentatively pencil myself in. Gee, what will anime Friday do without my bringing snacks do?
-
... a pile of starving otaku .... not good...
ill def be their =D
-
count me in
-
That would be cool to go and see. I was pretty excited when I heard they were making this movie. It happened to be one of my favorite toys as child.
-
Sounds good. I didn't make it to the Pirates 3 event, so I really would like to go for this one. I gots to meet you guys at some point before the Con! ^_^
-
I shall try and make it.
-
bleh.... it looks like my ride wont be able to come to this one so if anyone can pick me up somewhere along the max line or something i would sooo great full ^_^
just pm me or something in the next few days :D
-
thats true we haven't decided on a show time yet have we? ^_^;
-
sorry for the double post but this needs to be figured out soon :P
showings for the friday july 6th:

7:40 pm
8:30 pm
9:20 pm
10:25 pm
11:00 pm
-
if I don't see it XD lolx
-
Well we need it to be after 8, so how about the 9:20 showing?
That work for everyone?
I'll hop on Fandango as soon as we have confirmation. If you can pay me back in cash at the theater I may be able to pick you up a ticket.

Oh right it doesn't have to be after 8 anymore because I probably can't go just fyi if you were doing it for me <3 And if I can I get out of work at 6 that day so I can do the same time as last time if we wanted to
-
yay chris and i can go
-
OK so we have Jaz and Chris, Mustash, dakrum, and kylite confirmed so far. Anyone else going to make it out to Beaverton tis Friday to see the movie with us? I want confirmations before I buy tickets tonight.
I am going to be getting out of work around 4 that day but Vallie actually works later so I don't know how easily she'll be getting there. Once I know for sure when she gets out of work I'll re-post with the showtime. It will be either 8:30 or 9:20
-
*waves hand around in the air* anyone going that has room for one person in their car i could even ride on the luggage rack if need be XD
-
Can't wait to find out when we shall be going. I've never really done anything with you guys and so this will be my first time. Now where will we be meeting at before heading to the movie? Also if there is anybody who needs a ride from Salem that will be where I'm coming from.
-
OK, so since nobody complained I am officially changing the time to 8:30pm.
We'll be meeting some time after 4 PM outside the theater or.... in the lobby of the theater. Someplace we can sit in line for our showing.
I get off work at 4 you see, but I live like less than a mile from the theater so it won't take me long to get there. (I love rides though!)
Vallie will be working in Tualatin in the Bridgeport village until 5. She can ride the bus because I'm buying he a cool bus pass with foil and sparkles, but getting a ride from someone would be really cool. Hint hint.
(btw, Bridgeport Village is right off of I-5, thus on the way from Salem)
The movie will probably start seating between 7:45 and 8:00. So I highly suggest you guys show up at 7:30 at the latest. I will not be buying Fandango tickets tonight because I don't actually have a printer at home. I'm going to have to do it at work in the morning. So guess what, you guys have a little more time.
I'm going to buy a ticket for myself and Vallie. I can probably afford two other tickets as long as y'all have cash on Friday night.
-
Sorry guys I will be on my way to Eugene. I really wanted to go too but next time ^^
-
Which theater are we going to? Once I know I can get my ticket.
-
I could give Vallie a ride. I live like 2 blocks from Bridgeport, it's actually my freeway exit. What stores does she work at?
Rock. The place I'll be working at is actually the Country Insurance office. I'm temping as a receptionist there.
Since it's somewhat difficult to find though, if you meet me in front of Wild Oats at 5pm, that would work out fine. There's the big parking lot and everything right there.
Jason, we're going to the Century 16 Cedar Hills Crossing. Address is 3200 SW Hocken Avenue Beaverton, OR 97005. Their Fandago site is here: http://www.fandango.com/century16cedarhillscrossing_aatbx/theaterpage

and there :P
-
Oops  I'm sorry I missed that. Silly me.
-
Well printed my ticket. I will be getting off work at 5pm so I should get there around 6pm. As my first time getting together with you guys and sense Tom has always been kind enough to share Pocky I'll buy a bunch of popcorns for everybody if that is alright.
-
OK, I will be buying a ticket for myself, Mustash, and Vallie. The rest of you will need to take care of it on your own.
I will be able to bring a little Pocky to share but nothing fancy. It keeps melting on the road. :(
Anybody else going to be there early?
For those of you busing it here's the best routes. The 62 bus runs right past the theater and runs between the Sunset Transit Center and Washington Square Mall, it connects up with the Millikan Way MAX stop as well. If you can get to one of those places then the 62 will drop you off just a parking lot away from the theater.
For those of you in Portland, I suggest taking the MAX to Millikan Way or taking the 20 to Beaverton. The 20 takes you down Cedar Hills Blvd, which is directly behind the shopping center that the theater is a part of (Cedar Hills Crossing). If you come from the 20 bus, then I suggest going into the mall by the MAC Store and Starbucks. and then walking through the mall to get to the theater on the other side.
Here's the website for the shopping center if you'd like more information on the area around the theater.

-
I get out of work at 4 and will be heading to the theater straight from my office. Pick up Vallie at the location she mentioned above.
-
Hey I used to live near that theater (well..sort of..152nd and Farmington). And is that Powell's new (within the last year and a half)?
And wish I could go hang out with you guys, but gotta work Friday night.
-
give me more of exact location pls Mustash >.> cause i don't really care that much as long i get their
-
I don't know if you consider it early but I'll be there between 6 to 6:30 depending on traffic.
-
It looks like I'll be able to make it, depending on when it's happening. I've skimmed through the thread and don't see the actual movie start time we're trying to get!
-
OK, so since nobody complained I am officially changing the time to 8:30pm.
We'll be meeting some time after 4 PM outside the theater or.... in the lobby of the theater. Someplace we can sit in line for our showing.
Here you go.
-
Are lines still expected to be bad?
-
I'm not too sure. I just bought my ticket with fandango. By friday how long has the movie been out? That usually has an effect on lines too.
-
Like..... Three to four days. Hmm... Maybe I'll fandago it to, just in case...
-
hey tom is it too late to ask you to pick up tickets for chris n m we can pay you back once we see you
if not it cool
-
Hey if Tom is unable to cover you I can buy a couple more tickets for the 8:30 showing.
-
I'm not expecting lines to be that long. I just want to make sure we're there early enough if there are big lines. Even if there isn't a line we'll want to get in first to make sure we can get our row*. Nothing wrong with hanging out with your friends for a couple of hours!
Most fans will have seen it tonight. with a few more people watching it Thursday. However, a Friday Night is always going to be busy. I doubt they'll sell out of tickets but it's always good to "Be Prepared".
I am on Fandango right now buying tickets for Vallie, Mustash, Kendo Chris, Jaz, and myself.
*I know everybody has 3/4 back ingrained in their heads but since the development of stadium seating I believe that the row behind the first guardrail is the best one in the theaters where there are two sections.

I completely agree! losta leg room that way too!

Oops sorry, my mistake.

Just to say it, Dak, if you're taking trimet to meet up with me and Mustash, it probably would be easier/faster for you to take the max to Sunset Transit Center, catch the 62, and just go straight to the theater. The 62 runs like every 20 minutes or so, and drops off right in front of the theater.
If you still want to meet up with me and Mustash though, meet up with us at the Tigard Transit Center at 5-ish. You can get there via the 12 from Portland.
-
ok ok me my cousin will take the bus then :P
-
allllll the waaaayyyy XD
-
if I can, I'll try showing for the 830pm showing. will be iffy if I can make it as its right before I get off work(which is at 745pm) and the 62 leaves shortly afterwards.
-
Fandango'ed and ready to roll. See ya at the movies!
-
*counts up all the people that have said they might make it*
Wow that's a lot of people. We might wind up needing a second row! Good thing Tom will be holding a spot at the front of the seating line!
-
I'm sure looking forward to it.
-
One more thing to look ofrward to seeing tonight.
The end result of Tom cutting his own hair.
8)
It's not that bad but I think that if I had a decent mirror and a trimmer that wasn't held together with tape I could do a decent job. As it turns out I've just got a couple of spots where its uneven.
-
We need to get you a flowbee

You know, not that it's that bad at all, but...
One of the last times I witnessed a small child cutting their own hair, I remember one of their parents saying to them, "Well now you're just going to have to go to school like that."
I was so tempted to say that to him as he was leaving for work this morning, but I bit my tounge. *L*
Mostly also because he wanted me to help and I had no idea what I was doing and I was afraid of making it worse.
-
@vallie
i had that feeling once when my okder brother wanted me to help with his hair his is long on the top of his head and the rest shaved off, i was really afraid i'd buzz off the long part
anywho on topic i get off soon and wil be meeting chris then to uwajimaya for munchies mmmmm gonna see if i can get som e of their tasty tasty ginger pork
-
Blah!!! I wanted to come I really did, but I just had orientation for 6 hours... I am not amused :(
We can't make from Portland to the theater in time on public transportation. So I guess I'm going to go see it out by Lloyd center around ten.
Sorry guys! Have fun :o
-
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
That movie was made of WIN and GOD! *Vash poses*
Great meeting everyone I met! We need to do it again sometime
-
The most important thing for everyone to know is that Greyman actually looks like his avatar.
It was kind of funny waiting in line there for so long when nobody was there, but about a half hour before they started seating the line exploded and had about 50 people behind us!
Someone even called the manager because we were saving seats
It was really funny how childish people are and how they can't have a conversation with you over something like that. It was even funnier when the usher came over and completely buckled when I gave him a tiny drop of attitude.
Since when are you not allowed to save seats for people? WTF?
-
The most important thing for everyone to know is that Greyman actually looks like his avatar.
Heheh ^__^
As far as the saving seats go, seriously! That was madness. I started furiously texting my friends to hurry up. It was funny once we plopped someone down in that end seat, people just stopped asking.
-
Yeah it was funny when they had the usher come and tell us that we couldn't save seats. I have yet to figure what they were going to do. We could at one point name every person that was going to sit in those seats.
-

Madness?!?! That was the Movie Theater!!! lol
*kicks mustash down a well*
-
Ahhh don't kick him thats cruelty to animals ;D
-
they didnt reck grimlock so it was fine by me
-
Wasn't Grimlock the T-Rex transformer?
-
Exactly. the sequel needs to be Constructicons versus Dinobots.
"Me Grimlock say movie continuity can kiss my titanium rump!"
Unfortunately it will probably involve Starscream returning with Astrotrain or something and Optimus Prime making the power matrix to contain the Allspark.
As long as they don't pull out Unicron right away aI'll be happy.
Strike that, as long as they don't do Unicron or BEAST WARS I'll be happy.
-
Oh I so hated beast wars. It just wasn't that great of a show.
ACK! My post count went down to 134. :'(
It was just this morning at 250 + :'(
-
Ah, I liked Beast Wars! Well, that's just me though.
And yeah....spam was stricken from post counts. *sheds a tear* But, oh well.....now I'm higher than Mustash!! *points and laughs, briefly*
-
hey beast wars was the transformers that i grew up on =o but then again i have seen brief clips of the original and was cool ... for being old :P
-
I haven't seen it yet, does Shockwave have anything here? I thought he was the greatest of the Decepticons, back in the day. Could have ruled, but knew better.
-

Nope, no shockwave.
Soundwave was always my favorite but since they were trying to make them all "to scale" they couldn't have a walkman get 30 feet tall.

Hey, they did it (sort of) in Family Guy! lol Not that that counts for anything, but just saying...heh
