I like the gears in Xenogears. Elly's gear was sweet cuz of the aerods and there is so many other small cool things about them. Welltall and Xenogears were kickass.
Magitech armor from FF6 was sweet too. All I can think about is the first movie in the PSX version of that game.
Evas were ok but the did not have self sufficient power... Only enough for what, 5 minutes???
Although even cooler than the mechas were the airships. It would be so cool to travel without the restrictions of bordersor anything else to hinder a good journey...

I'd have to say my favorite is the Orbital Frame Nephtis. it may not be the most powerful of robots but its controlled by a malfunctioning Combat A.I. throughout Z.O.E. 2 it becomes more of a pain as it gains the ability to take over other Orbital Frames.

I like it because it's what Batman would be like with a Gundam.
He's not fancy or space age, just big tough and stylishly black.

I like most of the designs from Vandread, so, umm, the final evolution of the Vandread would be my favorite (the actual name isn't coming to mind right now).

super cool, i think its the gundam those japanese folks built a full size replica of, too.

The classic VF-1 Valkyrie from Macross. Jet fighters are cool... big robots are cool.... Therefore fighter + robot = cool, also. I mean... Gerwalk is badass.
The other VFs from later Macross shows/movies are cool, too. But the VF-1 is the classic.
Classic Gundams are cool, too.
