Title: Will there be a rave?
Post by: kurosakiichigo666 on April 17, 2007, 10:51:12 am: I didn't know where else to post this, so I put it here. Feel free to move it to the appropriate location. Is there going to be a rave or anything of the sort at the con? I love me some techno.

Post by: TomtheFanboy on April 17, 2007, 10:57:45 am: From what I've seen in the meetings, the official designations are just "Dance" and "Masquerade".

The Masquerade will be specifically for cosplayers while the Dance is just a bunch of people dancing to loud music and colored lights. You'd probably want the Dance.

There's a whole thread about music requests in General Discussion. I'm hoping that the "More Anime Music" faction will focus more on the Masquerade than the normal Dance. Just to take pressure off the DJ.

Personally, the only thing that he has ever said (at least that I can think of right now), that I have not agreed with is the relationship between customer & "servant." (Ya know, since I work at Taco Hell and all). but usually, he's right, and does a decent job of conveying his squirrelly wisdom.

At the Star Wars convention I went to we actually got tiny little "sample" bags in our swag kits. They had name brand soap, deoderant, toothpaste, and even mouthwash!

Big enough conventions actually DO hand this stuff out!
