cause its almost halloween and haloween symbolizes dressing up in costume. AKA COSPLAY!

I'm glad you asked, I always wanted a chance to tell everyone why I put it there:
The ghost-like thing on her hair is a Teru Teru Bozu, a little traditional hand-made doll made of white paper or cloth that Japanese farmers began hanging outside of their window by a string. This amulet is supposed to have magical powers to bring good weather and to stop or prevent a rainy day. Today, children make teru-teru-bōzu out of tissue paper or cotton and string and hang them from a window to wish for sunny weather, often before a school picnic day. <--I figured this was appropriate for a mascot that celebrates a anime/Japanese culture convention. Glad she's liked. xD

I've seen two different animes in which a love-struck girl would have the "ghost" look like the guy that she had a thing for. (If anyone cares, the series are Blue Seed & Geobreeders).
So, why that part?

Well I got all that info from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teruterubozu), but I learned about it in Japanese class back in high school, so I don't know about having their boyfriends' face on it. I saw it in Blue Seed, but I always figured it was some kind of good luck thing or just a face they wanted to draw on it.

Can't please everyone. :wink: Maybe because she's totally different from the mascots of the past...she's not very traditional, she's pretty out there. But thanks for the honesty. I'd love to see other people cosplay her! :D
