Title: What about DDR?

I  was wondering if anyone knew about Dance Dance Revolution being at the KumoriCon. :D I love DDR it's fun and cool 8). If you haven't heard of it just post anyway and i'll explain  :wink:

I know there was a thread about DDR in the "Gaming" section. As for myself, I never really had the chance to play it before (only few times) so it'll be fun to try it out during the con.

Good luck getting on a machine at the Con.
Your best chance is to enter the tournament or camp out in the game room line.

Why was this in Fan Creations? Moved to Gaming.  I would merge it with the existing DDR topic, but it seems I'm limited from doing that for whatever reason.

Anyway, here's the latest:

We've had a breakup of communication with one of our contacts, in particular the one who was going to guarantee the DDR machine. The people assigned to dealing with the problem are currently looking into carting some large TVs and hard pads to the con. The person bringing the pads was quoted as saying they are the "best of the best," so I'm hoping this means metal stages. :)

That's all I can say and still guarantee that it's fairly accurate. I'm not sure whether an arcade machine is still a possibility. Rest assured they'll do whatever they can, if it is.

yes I think there is going to be a DDR/Gaming Room.....dont they always?  Well they had one last year ^^

i just got stepmania O.O soooo much more fun then DDR
its DDR, but on PC! you can make songs, download as many as you want, do anything! i just ordered a USB adpter so i can plug in my pads ^^

Yes... There will be DDR this year... What form that takes is budget depending at this point.  I am trying to get us a real DDR machine as well as playstation / Stepmania.  I will keep you all posted.

This thread is referring to last year.

DDR I'm expecting to be a given at conventions.  Here's hoping the budget will allow a real DDR machine.

Is the game room going to be open all night? prolly not but that would be beyond awsome..... :D  I wouldn't sleep, in fact I don't plan to sleep for the durration of the con... w:shock:t fun

Nah, they'll have to close down the whole convention during the night.  I think it's because of some curfew rule (the city's, not the Con's).  But that doesn't mean you can't still play in rooms.

It's the hotel's curfew. Unfortunately they want us to have those under 17 locked away by midnight and everything shut down by 2 AM. You can, however, still party hard in your rooms. (Wooo!)
