Please post all nominations & seconds for positions in this thread.
-
I nominate Sean Larson for Relations Director
-
Accept
-
Sean, don't you have to be seconded?
I second Sean, and I nominate Ryan for Operations!
-
I nominate Kri for director of publicity.
-
I second Ryan for Director of Operations
-
Accepted.
I would also like to say:
This last year, 2006, some things didn't go as well as they could have. Yes, Registration was lacking. Thankfully, Duncan, Lyle, and Peter were able to largely recover the situation and get things moving again. I would like to take full responsibility for things not going as well as they could have in 2006. I basically had 3 jobs this last year. My real employment, School, and the con. I am done with School now, and I feel that after doing Operations this last year, I can truly dedicate this year to improving upon the groundwork already laid last year. With minimal time spent getting up the speed, I think we can take Ops this year and make it run at levels greatly superior to any other convention. We have the talent.
I am already working on a staff to run on my "ticket" with me. I will be posting that information in the future.
Thank you for your consideration.
-
*is confused* wasnt I nominated for ops at the R&R too... I swore I remember that but it could have been the lack of sleep.
-
Our bad. I'll add you. Did you accept?
-
I updated the nominations topic. Do we have a second for Kri? Does she want to run?
And did Ryan decline running for Relations?
-
I initially defered. I have decided to decline.
My appologies, but I feel Sean would be a much better fit for relations than I. I have done the job, and I worked for Sean when he did the job in 05. He was much better at it than I.
Thanks for your consideration! I hope I can best serve you as Ops director.
-
I second kri
-
Awww... Waffles, how sweet!
However, I must decline. I would like devote my attentions to other issues this year such as yearly events, signage and merch. I have been working a lot with Jeff and have full confidence in him for publicity.
-
Kri - if that is a nomination for Jeff, I second! And tho i do not want to run for a director position, I am poised, ready and able to assist as Publicity Bitch for 2007!
-
Jeff was already nominated, seconded, and accepted at the R&R.
He's currently running unapposed if Kri has declined.
Keep those nominations coming.
-
Not that I'm trying to be a bother..... but I remember Brenda nominating me for ops... I'm going to decline the position because I don't feel I'm ready for the position. But I don't like the fact that my name wasn't added to the list in the first place. Sorry. Good luck.

-
Marie, what's your last name so I can add it to the post?
Brenda
-
@daystar
Hey Eddie. I remembered you being nominated. I added your name. Make sure I got the last name right.
I appologize that this was not remedied more quickly.

I would like the executive staff to conceder Kri for Treasurer as she is very capable and has the skill and commitment for this position as I understand.
-
Ed,
I appologize you weren't on the list. I completely missed the fact you were nominated... I honestly didn't remember Brenda being nominated either. So obviously there was a gap in my memory during part of the R&R. Heck, I don't remember Duncan being nomed for Relations...
Again, my sinceriest appologies. Hopefully this won't impact your desire to hold a appointed staff position this next year. I thought you did a great job with Infodesk.

I regret to inform everyone that I am withdrawing from the running for Operations Director.
My main reasons are the need for some time off. I've been working heavily with the con for the last 3 years, and feel that my objectivity with regards to how the con should run, and can run, is suffering as a result.
My second reason is the workload with my job has increased signifigantly in the past month, and as such I don't believe I will have the ability to work how I truly want to.
Thank you, and I hope to serve everyone within the con better in a consultant type role this year, rather than as an elected official. I hope to make the con run as well as possible this year in that role, and when next year rolls around, maybe I'll be able to run again.
-
staze I will miss you and I hope your work load dosen't destroy you.
-
Thank you, nominations are now closed.
