Title: Leash?
Post by: anime_fan810808 on August 29, 2006, 06:47:36 pm
For part of my cosplay I have a chain dog leash and a spiked bracelet. It says no metal....but then it talks about swords. Does anyone know if my items will be allowed?

Um I am also not sure on the bracelet my best bet is to ask when you register, for the leash it should be Ok I believe but please don't let anybody walk you.

I'm about to destroy your plan worse.  Or rather, I'm about to tell you about how the HOTEL is destroying your plan worse.

You can carry your own leash.  Noone else.  No metal either (buckles/jewelry tend to be okay, so unless the HOTEL throws a fit, your collar should be fine).  But no being walked.

The hotel was absolutely cruel by giving us an 11th hour change on the metal rule and such.  I swear, every time we've had to deal with these guys on some level, I'm reminded of Darth Vader in Cloud City.  "I have altered the deal, pray I do not alter it further."

I seriously hope we do NOT come back to this hotel.  To the point where if I'm on the bubble about whether or not I'm staff/going next year, this hotel may be the breaking point that makes me NOT attend.

Okay okay....so I have to walk myself. I can deal with this I suppose. However, when posing for pictures....can someone else hold the leash? I can't let the plan completely die.

I'll just give a confirmation on the posing for pictures: Yes it is ok for someone else to hold it. The no someone else holding it while you walk is a huge safety hazard (it wasn't allowed at Sakura-con either).
