I wanted to see if I could get a confirmation of everything for the
Gothic & Lolita Tea Party.
- time
- schedule book blurb
- budget
- room location
- any other related info i might need
Panelist badges aren't free, right? Just wanted to make sure.
Also, I believe there's a Kumoricon meeting at the location right
before the con, is that correct? If I attended, would I be able to see
the room where my panel will be held so I can get an idea of how to
set everything up? I'd really appreciate it!
Thank you so much!

*grins* a goth & lolita panel. Ill definetly be taking a peek in there.
-
If you put in an application for a panel you should have the information necessary to contact the appropriate parties to receive your confirmation.
Hint: email Brenda at programming@kumoricon.org

The events schedule is posted on the events page. It has times and rooms for the events.
Panelist badges are $20 for the weekend. If you don't show for your panel, Brenda WILL hunt you down. (I don't think this will be an issue.)
-
Wait, so how does that work for those of us who've pre-reged and are also doing a panel or two? Is it an extra $20 for the special shiny panelist badge, or do I get $15 back since I pre-reged at the $35 price?
-
Hmmm.... I think Brenda had something in mind for cases like yours. I will ask her when I see her next weekend. (email her otherwise)
No, you don't have to pay for a different badge. If you're a panelist, you get a panelist badge. It's just a regular badge with a special emblem added to it.
-
I'm confused.....I think it's wonderful if we are giving price breaks for panelists (and very well earned!). But as of the Programming Retreat, I thought that when I had inquired about whether there was a tiered discount or any minimum number of hours that folks had to provide workshops (etc.) to qualify as panelists for this discount, I could have sworn (perhaps I was distracted or misunderstood) that Brenda had said that we were probably not going to have this in place for this year.
There are many individuals giving panels or running comparable programming in the Creation Station to whom I would need to pass on the pertinent information. Thanks for helping me with this!
-
Again, I defer to Brenda. I know she limits on the number of people who could qualify per panel. I will see her this weekend. I'll get concrete confirmation then.
