Yeah, the two big rules I'm curious about are the ones for Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 and SSBM.

Hm, he probably has a lot on his plate for preparations for the Game Room.  Oh well, we can always ask him at the con.

Everything will mostly just be ripped from PAX, cause Zig21 is cool like that and lets us rip from his hard work.

The only real differences are going to be Naruto 4, which are a bit different due to the possibility of a team tourney as well as singles.  ssj naruto and ssj sasuke, the dog, puppet and itachi are banned.

Also XX #R is going to be XX Slash.

Thats pretty much it. Besides the lan rules, which I have no idea about.

I could only find rules for teams when searching for the SSBM PAX rules.  Do you know what they would be for this tournament?  Lik,e 1v1, or 1v1v1v1 top two go on?

Personally I think InuYasha:fc would be a great tournament game at this con

Saying "rules from PAX" doesn't help much since I haven't been there. My little brother is getting antsy, because he plans on playing in the DDR tournaments, and wants to know the rules--and now it's way too late for him to get any good practice in around the rules.

Seriously, we have 4 days before the con, how is this going to work...? ;-;

Improvisation can be a good or bad thing.

Here : Ill just post what Ive got.  It might undergo some edits, but hey.  It's better than nothing at this point.

Naruto 4

Team tournament (if we have one) same settings, just with 2 on 2 progression.
And no bridge stages.

Any game breaking glitches are banned.
There was some discussion of the cancelling thing, but I think its mostly part of the game.  And it costs meter, right?

Wait, the SSBM Tournament is going to be a team tournament?!  That would be fine if there was also the regular SSBM tournament that Kumoricon has been hosting these past couple of years.

As for the Y-cancelling for Naruto, yeah, it shouldn't be banned.  It does take meter, and can be easily countered.

First off, if you don't mind my asking Hellsap (and not to be rude or anything,) but are you someone in charge of plannign said events? How exactly do you know all these rules when Kalira was the one in charge of this thread or something similar?

Also, since you seem to be the only person here suggesting rules (huzzah for SLASH, btw.) what would the rules be for GG or GGX modes in the Guilty Gear tournament?

YA DONT TRUST ME, EDKUN?!?!
but ya, I am.  Kalira is the head of gaming, but he has a ton of responsibilities elsewhere, Im pretty much running the tourneys.
No GG or GGX modes... really, itll just take a lot of time to change the settings and go back and forth for each round.  I'm going against my normal judgement of allowing EX chars (and #R chars too, I guess).  Cause a lot of people are here to have fun and all that junk.  If both people are fine with it, then I wont get in your way.  I dont think EX will have much support in the finals anyway.

Also HeavenscloneX - Sorry, that was a misedit (I just steal all the rules from PAX and edit it, I forgot to add the 4p ffa part, and remove the mention of teams.)

Oh yeah, Ill be the tall guy running the console room most of the time.  Ill also have my faust outfit (if all this last minute planning goes well...)

I know it was recently changed from Reload to Slash, and that means its gonna be on the PS2....are there going to be converters there for Xbox controllers? or should i not even bother and just use the ps2 ones that are there :) ?

But it's faster. . . ,_, and fast paced is what sets GG apart from other games. =( *le cry*
