these are the piccues of my progress on the skirt and arm thingy. I (finished my petticoat..but..yeah. too lazy to upload the photo of it. lolx It's white though! lolx)
um..dun remeber which is what...but uh..you can decide which is which. And if you cannot tell....I need to get MUCH better at sewing. lolx

Anyway, two of my costumes are already done, since I wore them to Sakura-Con this year (although, Rika's leg straps do need to be redone).

I plan to at least get the bows done for the Jupiter costume this week...the rest might have to wait until next pay day.

I'm putting off Yuu until the last minute, since it just involves going to Goodwill, and altering what needs to be altered.

I have the material to start my DN Angel and FLCL costumes, just haven't done it yet. Sooo lazy. ~_~

What I find strange though is k-con 04 my first con I spent only 4 hrs on my costume but got way more pics than any other time. It wasnt even a well known anime at the time.

Were those sleeves hard, I have to make the same thing but with see through fabric.

Mmm... I got my wig. Wings. Shoes. Necklaces. Hairnet.
I havent even started on the actual dress yet.... T.T
We just bought paper to make the pattern for it. And I still need the beads which will be sewn or glued onto it, and to make those sleeves. Then I need a moon jewl for my forehead and the white beads for the things she wears in her hair... waaahhh so much to do!! ><

There's so many things I still have to do. I need to order my wig, figure out how I'm going to turn my black boots white, make "rings" to go around my boots, and sew new flurries on my dress. I need to start working on it soon, but it's sometimes so hard to motivate yourself to actually start working on it. ^^;

Roxas - Since I'm going with in-Organization Roxas, I need to find/make the coat, and figure out how to temp. dye my hair blonde.

The one good thing about having short hair now: it's easy to put under a wig. *thanks everything to high heaven from that* But I am going to roast as Irvine.

Well, because I'm doing Brandon Heat and not Beyond the Grave I wont have the Ceruberus Pistols but I will have the regular double pistols that he carries as a sweeper/assassin

Sence I have KNOW IDEA how to use a sewing machine, I had to sew my outfit from scratch. It's taken me over 15 hours just on the shirt and I'm not even done. I still need to sew the stipes on the back of the shirt. I have all the strips done in the front. My B/W tights have been sent so I hope to get those this saturday. I'm getting my hair cut and dyed either next week or the week after. I love his hair in yokan so I'm fine with having that hair style normally. ^_^

These words were HARD to write. I had to use a safety pin to write them on. Even then, I messed up on the spacing. Oh well.

You *should* be afraid of industrial sewing machines, they're evil and will eat your fingers if you're not careful. Sergers are intimidating, but once you show them who's boss, they'll just try and annoy you a little every once in a while. But regular home-grown sewing machines are docile. Mine even has a smiling Mickey Mouse on it. Maybe there should be a panel, like "Sewing Machines Are Your Friend: How to dominate the beast, a primer for those who fear them" or something. I've made a dress completely hand-sewn before, but now that I've got my machine, I only hand-sew nit-picky details like beads and hidden seams. Once you find a machine you like, I doubt you'd go back to hand sewing everything.

I still need to buy the pattern and fabric for my Taiki Kou costume, and ask my friend's mom to keep a watchful eye over me while I sew it at her house.

I need to make the bootcovers for my Naomi Misora costume.

I need a new leather jacket for my Duo Maxwell costume.

Other than that, everything else is done. I'm happy with my progress.

My mother...the most paranoid woman in the world, whom, even after giving me birth and after 16 years is still probably going through post partum....or w/e that it XD is allowing me to cut a heart over the breast area of my dress, wear a push up bra to squeeze my breasts up to me neck so that I can have some skanky cleavage.... O_o;;; I asked her/told her about my idea, but I was not expecting an immediate yes with a big smile and a nod of agreement and then her telling me how cool it would be oO;; it's one of those weird moment where you want to say the cliché line; "Who are you, and what have you done with my mother?" *sniff* I guess my mommy's growing up...

Yar :B beware of neko boobage....XD I think I'll wear some star pasties on my nipples just in case I have a nip slip!

I'm planning on making a corset, and then sizing up the dress around that. I had a big puffy tulle underskirt from last year that I'll wear underneath, that'll save me the trouble of extra white trims on the hem line. Also, dunno if anyone has seen this, but there are these adorable Mary Jane shoes at Hot Topic with cat faces around the front/toe area @.@ I HAVE to get those! They'll go perfectly with my outfit. I'll tape my ears back, put my hair over it, and then use the bonnet (which I'll be attaching my ears to) to further cover my ears so I'll look more neko ish...

What do you guys think about cat gloves? I saw these...

I am going as kairi from kh2 (pink dress) and have nothing done except part of her keyblade and the shoes+material x.x. I am also going as envy and i have the material but i dont have any clue as to a pattern that i could use. And i am also going as sephiroth but luckly most of that costume is done but will probly look dumb.

Let's see, progress....Buster sword is 70% finished. Akito cosplay is 90% complete. I just need to trim and style my wig, and TRY to get it the plum color that Akito's hair is. Still haven't started on Zack's SOLDIER belt, and still need to get the pants.

The school outifit is almost done. I just need to hem the skirt and dye and add buttons to the coat.

The opening outfit needs some working on. I need to buy the turtleneck, lighten & add buttons to the coat, and make the skirt.

The wired outfit is easy, but I havn't started working on it yet. I need to sew the fabric to a white cami top to make it into a dress and then find some wires.

Heh... talking about this stresses me out. @_@ Only a month left, and I need to finish my summer homework in order to go anyway...

My birthdays in a few days and I wont be home for a bit. Then the person im makeing on of the costumes for leaves on he 12 so it will be hard to make adjustments.

*sigh* it was the same every other con as well...last sakuracon I actually drug my sewing machine with me.
