Hello everyone, I am Anime Shopgirl. I am building the Northwest's first Cosplay Cafe in Tacoma Washington. It is what it sounds like, it's an Anime store with gaming, cosplaying, and fun events for any age group.
I will be at this years Kumoricon to advertise the shop, as well as sell some Japanese goodness. We will open with over 1000 anime dvd titles as well as VHS rentals, and special ordering through the store. I have been in the Industry a long time, and being on the road is a lot of fun, but having a home port is nice too. Our neighbor store Cardcaptors Unlimited is also a great place to get your game on, literally. They do Magic the Gathering, as well as Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh. almost every night of the week. I have been a fan of anime since the good old days ( of the 1980s ) and made it my job. So if you are ever in the area of Spanaway Washington, check us out behind the UHAUL on Pacific Ave and Military between Albertsons and Taco Bell.
Here are some of the links for more information :

What kind of events would you like to us run at the Tacoma Cosplay Cafe?
Now is the time to speak your mind, as all suggestions will be considered.
For those of you who knew The Anime Cafe in Parkland WA, we had a reunion where we got a lot of great ideas from members of Sakuracon, so throw out what you would like to see, and we'll see if we can make it happen.

nooooooo sob......I was gunna open the first one here in Portland...sob...I even talked to a rich eccentric man but he said to wait a while till I was older. *crys* There was even a nice spot picked out downtown...well at least if your cafe works its proof that people will go to a place like that and gives me more proof people like anime. (he doesnt think its that popular)

The paperwork went through for the county, but as for the sushi serving, that will take awhile to go through. The Tacoma Cosplay Cafe will have over 1,000 anime rentals as well as Anime from the 1970's to today. There are events everyday, with larger events on the weekends. There will be assorted packaged Japanese goodness, and Japanese ware. It will be a family friendly store, those under the age of 18, bring your folks by to show them what Anime is all about. We are located in the suberb of Tacoma located in Spanaway, behind the Uhaul on Pacific Avenue and Military Road, fairly near the military bases McChord Air Force Base, and Ft. Lewis Army base. The wall is going up, and we are moving in. I will announce the grand opening ASAP. We are happy and thankful for the support as there needs to be more ANIME and GAMING stores and venues to be a positive alternative for people.
Check us out at www.tacomacosplaycafe.com , temp website

Gus and I are seriously planning on opening our own shop in the Portland area. (As in taking small business classes, researching business plans, cleaning up our credit, looking for grants and loans, etc.) We'll be very interested in seeing how things go for you. Gus has reservations about whether or not this would work. (He thinks the only thing you can sell in Portland is coffee. :P)
-
When is it open? Is it open already? I wanna go!

Umm, how much experience are you looking for when you hire? I'll be sixteen in about 2 weeks, and even though it'll be a long bus ride, I'd really like to have this as a first job. ^^
And if I can't be hired... my school requires me to have an internship... Free work man. XD
