Title: Artists Alley-Ness
Post by: Cherry on June 10, 2006, 09:11:07 pm
I really hope this is the right place to post about this, if not...
I'm Sorry!! >_<

First off i have a few questions about how it works.
How much time must you spend at your table?
Because i would like to be able to have one (if any are still left) but i dont want to spend the whole con doing that ;>_>

And what are the rules involving fanart?? o_o
I know it is allowed, but is there any specific requirements?
And are we allowed fanart of the KumoriGirl etc??? xD

I just havent done anything like that before and i dont really know how it works o_o;; <--newb!
So any general knowledge one might need here would be greatly appreciated.

Lastly, do you even think i should attempt to sell my art??
I dont want to sit there and get all depressed because no one likes it o_o;;;
Samples of my stuff can be found on my deviantART site  (http://cherry-star.deviantart.com)

Yes.

Sorry, I am not an art critic, to give you rave reviews. Just sell it. If it sells, it was meant to happen, right?

as far as i know artist alley tables you can sell pretty much anything as long as you made it, and as for what to draw...check the daily favorites on DA normally they have whatever's most popular at the moment... O_o

It would be really cool if you got an artists table! I'd definatly drop by!

Yeah im not worried about WHAT to draw either xD
Because ill just draw whatever pops into my head regardless of what it is *does her own thing without a care*

But yeah i havent got a reply when i emailed asking if there were any tables available.

But still, how much time do you have to spend at the table? o_O
I dont want to be trapped there all the time ;-;

Speaking from what I've seen before at the cons I've been to... and just randomly guessing based on what seems reasonable... I would think that after you'd paid for your table it'd be up to you as towards how much time you'd spend there.

Typically the Artist Alley seems to always have people there; this is probably because the artists are there wanting to sell their stuff and make money and so they are there as much as possible.

But if you wanted to sell stuff for half the day and then go do something else I would imagine you could do that.  *shrugs*

Yeah, im not too worried about making alot of money or anything, i just think itd be fun and cool to try to sell some stuff if people wanted to buy it.  But there are so many other things i wanted to do as well at the con @_@;;

YES!! another person that is not worried about the money thing ^_^!!!
I think the whole art thing is if you enjoy what your doing... and have fun doing it... ( and don't let anyone control how you create it) then that is all that matters. ^_^
I would love to see some of your stuff at the con.
