Title: Fan dubs?
Post by: Sasu-kitty on April 30, 2006, 12:51:06 pm
I'm an amateur voice actor, I do fandubs.

I was wondering if there was a way I could submit fandubs for showing.  Here's one I just finished mixing yesterday.

Naruto - A Sound Temptation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6klY-ltUOE)

I play Sasuke, my friend plays Sakura.

I was starting to get sick when I recorded my lines, so i wasn't able to capture the emotion I was looking for, but I'm still happy with it.

But anyways, is there any way we could submit some of our fandubs for showing, or are there legal issues with it?  I would assume if we have a disclaimer stating who owns rights to the anime, it should be fine, am I wrong?

Also, feel free to critique the dub ^^;

Well, it sounds a bit like your smiling :P Theres a slight lisp in your voice that scares me o.=...

But pretty good. I still think you could dobetter though.

Put more of a stronger voice into the 'your annoying' part, and the lip syncing was slightly off... but as I said, still good. :P

Ive always been interested in Fandubbing, since it would allow anyone to take part in an Anime and give a voice to their character.  :3 I think its the coolest thing ever, but a critique I can nad will do for you.

Taking into account you were getting a cold, I think your voice was rock solid as a Sasuke, and your girlfriend...*sniffle* she moved almost moved me into tears as Sakura!  she is really good!  There were some lip-sync timming issues but other than that, this was a great fandub!

Thank you.

And if anyone wants to know, I was a host of the Amateur Voice Acting panel.  I was the one that worked the computer and projector, sitting at the far right (audience perspective)

EDIT: and just as a correction, the person that played Sakura is no longer my girlfriend.
