Ok ok I know that there have been rumors about this for years and in my opinion I think it will probably never happen. I mean it is waaay past this anime's peak to be thinking of a movie now. I just thought some of us may be interested in seeing it.

I really hate it when they use popular actors to take lead roles (think lance bass and kingdom hearts). Rather than just winning through popularity, they should just choose a girl that'd fit her... much unlike lohan

I would actually like to see it made, not because I want to see lindsay lohan in a magical girl costume, but because it would be a step forward in the anime to live action movies. Ive been waiting for a number of movies to get past all that red tape.

This has been in plans for years yes. And again THANK GOD it never happend. I also hate it when they get big stars for this stuff... I also heard rumor it was going to Hillary Duff.... err....okay.. Americans already screwed the anime over and made people diss like it!! Whats gonna happen if they actually make that crap!! Sailor Moon has been made into a live action most of us know as PGSM and that was actually good. They made the second half of the story really dark and depressing and Usagi was bubbly but not stupid... how the character is suppose to be. People dont give Usagi enough credit I think... She matured rapidly from one season to another and just acts like a ditz, when she gets serious its on.
I will so pettition against them making this... Sailor Moon already gets bad enough of a rap.

Any one else see the SNL with the Olsen Twins hosting? In one skit they were rookie Photogs at the Oscars. The older Photog told them to heckle the stars to get a reaction, then said "oh here comes the Olsen Twins” and one of the Olsen Twins as the Photog shouted in the direction of the red carpet "hey you, yeah you the skinny one eat a sandwich” then a week or two later the non secret was out.
I thought it was funny in the same way John Belushi did a short film "ware" he was the last of the SNL players to survive and was dressed as an old man with a cane visiting the grave yard ware every one else was buried, then he himself died first soon after

I agree with Mistress Legato. Sera Myu and the Japanese PGSM are awesome! *hugs her musicals and whimpers* That would be awful if they did it. I think I would twitch a couple times then just crawl under my bed and never come out.
You guys have the right idea. Move down to Hell. Hmm.. I might just join you. My friend Red has some land down there and I told him that I might move in with him someday.

I believe that is this movie ever did come out and was done CORRECTLY by using talent instead of cop outs for ratings, then it could definitely open the doors for several other anime live action movies. But there is alot on the line here and Lindsay Lohan would make any potential problem like 5 times worse.
Someone said to me the PGSM was awful a few days ago and I wanted to hit them.. What's funny is the person has never watched it for more than like 5 minutes. Yay.

I know... people tell me PGSM sucks and I wanna slap them across the mouth. You can't judge it by a few minutes, not even for the first few episodes. It's cause they look at the monsters and go "ha power rangers!" BUT the acting and the suspence and story line was awesome!!!!
Thats why I usally cant watch it at conventions. You have all those people that walk by stick their head in for 30 seconds and go "Hah sailor Moon LIVE?" Laugh and walk away.

OK, I know you're all cringing at this but this is not fear, this is not horror, this is not the evil of American anime Corruption (tm).
Once upon a time SABAN had the rights to Sailor Moon. They planned to do a Live Action/Animated version of the series. With the senshi animated in costumes and battling with the monsters, then live action for scenes at school or home where they would just be themselves.
I've seen a clip of it played at a convention somewhere. It was horrible, typical crappy television. They had OK actresses as far as their look went but one of the really messed up things was that Makoto (Jupiter) was, in the name of being pc, in a wheel chair. Yes, the basketball playing kung fu tomboy was the one they put in the wheelchair. Sigh, there's more, but I can't remember where the clip went, I think my friend mechalith might have it. I'll post a link if I can find it.
Oh, and remember, this show never got past the pilot, so lets hope it stays that way.

to be honest I perfer the anime of Salior Moon. I have not seen any live action so I dont have anything to say on that. but I own all 5 seasons on dvd and all 3 movies..I spend years creating my collection, I also have all the art books and manga so Yes it is my Fave anime show...but I dont think I could watch if they make one live action here.
I mean if I cant watch in dubbed I dont think I can watch in live in english. We distroy way to many things when we dub it.

Yeah on youtube, they have all the episodes of PGSM... and you have to watch the WHOLE thing before you can judge it because it gets alot more serious and involved in each senshi's life and gets to the drama... so ignore the special afftect monsters....

I agree. I wont watch any SM in English. I could go on for days about how badly they ruined SM, but if it wasn't for seeing the dub when I was little, then I wouldn't have known anything about anime. It's a good curse.

Nope. An American LA-SM project ain't happening.
With Toei taking back the rights from Disney, it will not be happening. Not to mention that Toei's claim on it is currently in a Japanese court where Takeutchi Naoko is trying to get control back...
Once that case is decided, THEN we shall see.
