I'll be renting a hotel room and have my weekend pass <3
but only know a couple of people who are going who will also likely be extremely busy while they are there lol
So who wants to be friends and hang out? :)

I will be there on Day 0 to pick up badge and will be around the con all weekend. Wish there was another way to keep track of peeps while at con, like making sure we can all hangout at times and such.

Since the con is going to be at the Convention Center we can pick a location to meet up at that's easy to find or exchange numbers. Idk if some people are ok with the phone number exchange. I don't mind giving my number to you guys.

Taegri, since his is your thread, I think you can easily just confirm a day and time. I like 10 or 11am Saturday if you do. That's around the time Atlis and I will be there.
I have a place to meet too if you want. I know you'll be hanging out with me before that, so I'll show you the place. But there's an actual coffee shop. It's like a starbucks, but one of those small ones with only a few tables, except it's not an actual starbucks, just the same idea. If everryone wants to meet up there, since coffee was involved in where we meet, that's like, the only place.

I don't know the name..But it's the only one in the building..There's only 2 places, a bistro looking place, and this coffehouse place. The bistro looks more like a restaurant cafe thing, with actual food like hotdogs, fries, burgers and fountain sodas. The coffehouse place has like 3 tables and a window bar table with stools (like a bar, but faces out the window), and a few tables outside the doors, and is basically like a little starbucks. Only having coffee, a few cold drinks like bottled soda/water/etc. and the only food is pre-made pastries.

Highly doubt there will be room for all of us. But we can all hang out just outside of the shop. If the tables are open outside we can take them and if needed I'll ask them if we can push the tables even closer to each other for a large group.
And to BloodyBuTtTerFly, Not sure..I never got the name of the place. Let me look real quick....
So..Looking at that mat is more confusing that I could've imagined..I can't tell..It looks like things are in different locations now..I remember last year the exhibit hall was to the right of the coffee place, and the exihibit hall was literally connected to the same location as the gaming room and the bistro looking cafe. This time it looks like it's on the complete other side of the con center..So maybe that's the place?

I have class on Thursday but I should be there around 11 a.m Friday and will be back and forth from the convention center to the double tree lol

This is my first time going to any anime convention. I'm from a small town on the coast, and I don't really have many friends who are into Anime. I'm not sure what I'm in for, but I would love to make some connections while I'm there.
Am i going to stand out if I wear plain street clothes? If I can only make it one day, which day should I go?

Hi, don't worry, we all were new at one point. No, you will not stand out in plain clothes. Therre will be over 1000 others there in plain clothes. Not everyone cosplays or likes to cosplay. And if you have to only go one day, Saturday is the best day. It's the busiest, but that's exactly why they have the best events that day. They schedule the best stuff for when the most people could attend them, which is saturday.

No and Yes. A towel won't really do anything..You aren't going swimming....You're going to an event. But walking around you WILL get dehydrated. There are fountains where you can refill the bottle. One of those metal ones will help it stay colder longer.
The only place you COULD park is the Lloyd Center (basically a mall). I don't know how they regulate parking there, like if they have a security guard that marks wheels after a long time and sees who's been there longer than normal. In this type of case, the car will be ticketed first, and if still there the third time around, towed. So be careful.
As far as any actual tips, as much as i don't wanna sit here and plug my YouTube channel..I'm gonna lol
I do beginner tips for cosplay and conventions on my channel. Too much to write here or it'll get more like a novel..

Water for sure! Cell phone charger and some bills to buy stuff( I don't know if they will have debt/credit tech with them so just in case) also snacks!
I would also recommend the max to get there, you don't have to worry about parking that way!

My friend and I will be for sure all of the days including thursday (tomorrow). Sadly we might not be able to do a meet up that day. We can try depending on time, but it really depends.
The Saturday one? Yes it's at the Roasting House Coffee at 11am. Or did you mean for friday? If you meant for friday you might as well make it the same time and place. We'll try to make it. We might even have a third person there too if that happens. Not 100% though.

Guessing north of seattle, or eastern Wa? lol My ride down from my house to the con center is about 3.5 hours.
You likely would miss if they do a friday meet up at 11 then, but be sure to come to the saturday one!

What do you mean "who"? Other than us and our groups of people we already knew, Wasn't the Persona 5 cosplayer (Sorry, I don't remember exactly which user that was, if that was Mr. Strawberry, then yea, him), the only one that showed up? The entire time I didn't meet a single other person from this thread, and I sat right next to you.
