Title: Favorite Trapped in Another World Series
Post by: ldkstar on February 08, 2017, 08:36:43 am
I have been watching Re-Zero lately, and it got me thinking about this genre as a whole. If I had to pick a series, it would be log horizon. I like the pacing, character development, and the relationship between the characters. Unlike other series in this genre, the protagonists are not trying to actively escape, rather they are making their home and adapting to their circumstances.

What is your favorite Trapped in Another world series?

I'd have to say Konosuba is mine. That series was fantastic. If you don't know about it, then before watching, I need to make clear that this is a parody series. Not so much as "super obvious references" type parody, but yea.

Konosuba has been on my list for a few months. I need to check it out.

Mine is easily El-Hazard: The Wanderers.  There were aspects of the other El-Hazard series that I liked, but as a whole The Wanderers was by far the best.  It's made by the same people who gave us Tenchi Muyo.  In fact, it's a lot like Tenchi, but in this case the boy in the harem goes to the ladies rather than the ladies moving in with the boy.  This is also an example of a dub done great; I'm sure others would disagree, but I find this to be a perfect example of excellent dubs from the mid '90s.
