This thread is for questions and answers for the candidates for the 2017 Convention Chair/President of Altonimbus Entertainment.

There is a partial exemption to the rule that forum discussion cannot be about a person. You may incorporate personal comments, including praise or criticism, into your election questions and answers, and ensuing discussion, but only regarding candidates who are running for a position, or about another person if it is directly entangled with an issue germane to the outcome of the election. In so doing, you must still exercise standard courtesy, and refrain from profanity, disruption of the discussion, excessive vitriol, and irrelevant comments. What are some of the things from this year that you think went really well in this department?
I think beginning to establish our new HR policies has gone very well and has already had a positive influence on our convention.
What are some of the things from this year that you think need to be improved on in this department?
Aside from continuing to develop our HR program, nothing comes to mind departmentally. That said, there are definitely personal improvements I can make.
What makes you think you're right for this position?
I've done it for the past 2 years, so I know what I'm signing up for. I'd also like to think I have a much better idea of how to be Chair than when I started.
Are then any points that you can help improve in other departments if you're director if this one?
I certainly hope so as I believe one of Chair's essential roles is to provide support and encouragement to other departments, but I think the specifics will very much depend on the particulars of each department in 2017.
