For posterity; in another thread I posted an idea where having a slide on-screen of the name of the anime in question while we're discussing what we learned from the AMV would be beneficial to those visual learners like me.
Example: We watch the creepy version of Totoro and after the video is finished, a slide comes on-screen with either a still from the AMV showing Totoro or a title card of the actual anime so that we can have a visual cue to refer back to while the discussion is happening.
Then, after those people who actually know the anime describe it in their own words, the presenter can show a slide of the panel's interpretation of the actual plot.
