Just kind of a general purpose question about the cosplay contest from me here. What can I expect in terms of time commitments as an entrant? From years past I recall there being a rehearsal and judging at separate times from the contest itself. I'm entering for the very first time, so I'm not totally sure on what I should budget time-wise for it.
For people who've done it before: is it all one day? What can I expect as a walk-on rather than a skit? Anything I should rehearse ahead of the con as a walk-on?

For the last couple of years, because it was a four day con, the schedule looked something like this:
Day 1: Pre meeting - evening
Day 2: Costume judging - throughout the day, 10 min slots
Day 3: Tech rehearsal - morning ; Contest - afternoon/evening
Before, when it was a three day con like this year:
Day 1: Pre meeting - evening
Day 2: Tech rehearsal - morning ; Costume judging - throughout the day, 10 min slots ; Contest - afternoon/evening
I would expect it to be more like the second description, but it may be different. The only big difference I could see would be pre meeting earlier in the day day 1 and then costume judging that day, or tech rehearsal in the later morning.

Okay, that's very helpful! Thanks! So I should tentatively be planning on Day 2 being the fullest with contest things.

We are tentatively planning on the following
Day 1 Afternoon/Evening: Costume Judging, pre-assigned times.
Day 2 Morning: Tech Rehearsal
Day 2 Afternoon/Evening: Performance.
This is all tentative at the moment, the final schedule is still being made.
