Title: A good sewing group?

I'd like to do a more elaborate (for me anyway) costume this year but I have no idea how to put it together. Are there any sewing groups in the area that could teach stuff as well as act as a social group? Especially if it's cosplayers.

I think there's a few. I know of the Time Traveler's Costume Guild... That might be somewhat helpful?

Oof, I feel like I would be lost in all of that. Would anyone here like to get together for costuming and such?
