You got that right.
I think that the English dub crew were told to do whatever and didn't care how absurd their lines were, but they accidentally gave its audience a hilarious gem.

I know this hasn't been posted on in a while, but I'm genuinely curious....Exactly where in those links is there any 4th wall breaking? Because not one of your links shows forth wall breaking in any way whatsoever....
