Title: How long does the karaoke contest usually take?

For the first time I'm going with a group, and I'd like to be in the contest but I don't want to leave the group for so long. Cosplay takes all day. Is this comparable?

Sorry for the late reply, but usually the contest is only about closer to two hours.
