My friend and I may be Link (me) and Navi (her). We plan to have them for Akicon, so obviously that would mean they would be done by next kumo haha
So far I have the tunic (minus the sleeves and collar) sewn up, as well as the sword and shield almost done. And the hat cut out

I'm gonna try and make Princess Hilda for Kumoricon next year. ^_^ Already have everything sketched out and how I'm going to make her cosplay, just have to get the materials.

At Kumo you mean? I don't know 100% if we will have them at Kumo though..It's HOT in a Link cosplay, and my Navi has a princess gown..That's gonna suck in summer..

Missed the part about Akicon. Anyone that is Link will have the same results though. Link actually isn't my favorite Zelda character actually but it's appropriate for Ravio.

I have been wanting to do original TLOZ Link with a white tunic from after he gets the blue ring. Sure it might be a blue tunic and I can't tell, but I really want to do a white tunic. The big part that holds me back from doing this is the boots though... It is expensive and hard to find regular shoes my size let alone boots like that.

No worries. Everything ended up ok. (Been dealing with this for years.) If I see you 2015, I'll take pictures. Hopefully you can make the shoot too.

So far, I have no shoots set in stone so if people want to start suggesting days, times, locations and etc., I'm cool with that.

I've long joked about cosplaying either 80s Cartoon ('Well excuuuse me, princess!') Link or Phillips cd-i King of Hyrule, but probably not in the cards this year. However I plan to have OOT Zelda ready for Kumori!

Also, you are all welcome to come to the Nintendo shoot. Right now it's titled under Smash Bros, but it's being changed to general Nintendo.

I may be going as SS Link! But I'm only going for two or three days of the convention, counting back from the last day.
I'm looking for a SS group, but I can't find one echhhghgh >_< Guess I'll be groupless, but I have no doubt I'll see a SS Zelda. She's a popular cosplay, right?
Also, I think a photoshoot would be... awesome. I'm totally for it. :>

How about Saturday morning? The Nintendo photoshoot is around 3. I'm hoping personally that I can go to the Zelda one as link then change into my husband and I's Pokemon cosplay for the Nintendo and Pokemon shoots.

I think I rather just go to the Nintendo shoot. I mean, if anything, we can meet up there, right?
I only say this because I'm a night person and I'll be Haku from Naruto after the Nintendo shoot. I'll be Ravio before then and I WILL be hunting down all the Links for pictures. I mean, it's Mr. Hero after all. I went after a couple Zeldas last year too though. :P

I know I said this on the Nintendo thread but might as well post here too.
My friends and I are doing a Link Between Worlds group. I'll be Princess Hilda (just finished my stuff today~) along with my Ravio, Link and Zelda.
We're planning on wearing them mostly on Friday so it'd be nice if the shoot was that day at some time but we're fine with changing if we have to.

That said, I still want to get a picture of you guys because I really like A Link Between Worlds. I'll be Schala from Chrono Trigger so if you see me, feel free to flag me down so I can get pictures of you. If you aren't familiar with her, she's in my sig on day 1 and I doubt there'll be another one at con...always possible but not likely.
I'll share the pictures with you guys, of course, so I guess it could be kind of like a mini photoshoot. :P

Yeah, not enough people chipped in soon enough. I might have been able to hold out a bit longer but I also volunteered to take pictures for Kumoricon. So, too many things to factor in. X_x IF you guys could do it on saturday instead, that would be awesome! ^_^

I didn't even know this was a thing and saw the comic and told my friends I wanted to cosplay 'purple Zelda'. Only after we started working on costumes did I start doing my research XD

I actually haven't played a single Zelda game since I was five. XD And it was the very very first one. Since then I haven't even touched the series. But my friends are super obsessed. Since I said I'd cosplay 'purple Zelda' with them, I've done a ton of research but still haven't played the game. Not much time and I don't really like video games. But I've watched a lot of 'let's plays' (which I hate sooo much which shows true dedication) so I think I know enough at this point.

Heh. No worries. Having fun is the most important part. I am very happy you researched it a bit though. ^_^ This one is very similar (but different enough) to the SNES one, A Link to the Past. So, it does have a nice retro feel to it. The NES Zeldas were pretty brutal but awesome as well.

Yeah I'll probably end up buying the game at some point but I'm so bad with videos games. Literally all I play is Poke'mon and a few rare RPGs I can beat in a week.

Lol. You don't have to be a pro to enjoy a game. I wouldn't be concerned if you're "bad". Just have fun and odds are you'll improve too.

I usually just watch my room mates play console games because I love the stories and characters of most video games. I'm just bad at them XD And if I'm too bad, it's no fun because them I'm stuck somewhere and can't advance.

Good thing I came in here..Please do not go around telling people things that are not true.
No one ever said this shoot was combined with the Nintendo one. The Nintendo one is a separate shoot for everyone to get together. Zelda is allowed their own shoot.
Let me give you an example. I hold the Square Enix shoot. As well as the Kingdom Hearts shoot. Same exact thing, but different names. Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy don't just "no longer get shoots" just becasue there's one that mashed them together in one shoot. They in fact Do get their own separate shoots. Same with this..Just because there's a Nintendo shoot doesn't mean that Zelda, or Mario, or any other game dsomehow no longer is allowed to have a saparate shoot.
Please do not tell people things that you have not made sure are true. That's just messed up.

What did I say that wasn't true? It was decided on this thread that this shoot was no longer a thing and that people should just go to the Nintendo shoot instead. If there is a Zelda shoot, then awesome. But this thread that's specifically for the Zelda shoot, said it was cancelled. I was just relying what I'd been told by the creator of this thread.
