Title: AMV Judging 2014
Post by: absolute_apocalypse on August 16, 2014, 12:04:13 pm
Hi everyone! Judging is scheduled today and we are about to start. This year we received exactly 100 entries, with the majority (40%) being submitted to the "Intensity" category. Comedy came in a distant second for most popular (getting roughly half as many).

Today the judges will have to cut down to a final playlist that is less than 2 hours long.

I plan to provide updates throughout the day; if you have any questions or things you would like to hear about, let us know!

We're off to a late start but things are underway starting now. Comedy is playing first, the judges are a few videos into their first pass.

The judges just finished with intensity, which was definitely their biggest undertaking. Moving on to Mislead the Audience, things should move along faster now :)

And the judges are finished! Tomorrow I will start to notify creators whose entries were chosen :) Great showing this year, thank you to everyone!

Hi everyone, there has been a slight mix-up and I don't have access to the contest playlist yet so emails are not going out to contestants yet; I am doing everything I can to rectify this quickly and will post again here once I have it. Sorry for the delay!

Best wishes! I am still studying for my exam; it's next TUESDAY right before the con...

Hope you all had fun!

(30-Aug-14) Edit: Now gunning for Sept 9. I will be studying ALL this weekend and next too.
This is a very difficult exam, for a number of reasons. I hope everyone had fun, and
I look forward to the results.

Make sure you send GOOD PRIZES out to the winners - don't skimp!!

Congratulations in advance to all the selected editors and to
this year's winners!

So do we have a list of the finalist and the results of the contest?

Thanks,

Gene
