Hi! I have a question... Are all fanfictions required to be based off of Japanese media? For example, Death Note fanfiction is allowed, but Doctor Who or Avatar: The Last Airbender fanfiction is not? Just wanted to clarify. :)
Thanks!

And I just realized I should have put series before anime. Sorry about that.
Fanfiction this year is opening up to include fiction based off of series outside the Japanese only fan base.

Oh, awesome! That opens up a whole new door of possibilities! Thanks! :D

Oh, brilliant! :) I'd been fretting over what to enter this year, since a lot of my fanfic output has been in Western fandoms lately. (Though I'll always have Final Fantasy...and FMA!)

EDIT: We have decided to strike the rule disqualifying previous winners at other events/conventions due to it making the contest seem too restrictive.

Sweet. The fic I sent in won a prize in an online contest so it was great that it could be included.

This is probably a stupid question, but do you have to be there all weekend to enter? I am only able to be there on Friday, and I wasn't sure if this would be a problem.
