Just submitted!

Is there someone we can send our forms to before we actually submit them to double check we filled out all the correct information?

Hello,
I'm one of the coordinators of the cosplay contest.
Go ahead and submit your form, we'll get back to you if we don't under stand something or you're missing something.
Also feel free to email cosplay@kumoricon.org with any questions.

Thank you!

Hello all,
I know this is early, but is there a basic schedule for when the various meetings and events for the contest will be going on?
It would make scheduling photoshoots a lot more finalized.
-
The convention schedule is in its second draft at the moment, and the last email sent to panelists mentioned that any changes for the third draft would be final. Those changes are due by tomorrow, so expect a more finalized version of the schedule within two weeks, most likely.

Thanks so much!
BTW, your icon image is absolutely wonderful.

Hi there,
My daughter wants to do the cosplay contest, but I have a few questions before I okay it:
1. she's 9, so I don't really feel comfortable leaving her in the green room alone. Is it oaky for me to stay with her? And when it's her time to be on stage, will she return to the same room after her walk on?
2. For the entry form, I am not sure what creation level to check. The outfit is a combined effort between myself, her and her grandmother. Do I just check the one I think best fits the skill level? Or since she has made some of it, do I check the child category?
Thanks in advance. :)

Since she's under the age of 12, convention policy states that you have to be with her at all times regardless of what she's competing in. Plus it would be lovely to have you backstage anyway! All contestants stay in the Green Room when not onstage, because you never know whether or not you're going to be called onstage to accept something at the end!
The rules state that for her costume to count as a 'youth' level craftsmanship, she would have to have made at least 50% of the costume herself. If she made less than half of it, depending on the skill level of yourself and her grandmother you could have your pick of Novice, Intermediate, or possibly even Journeyman.
You will have to be present at craftsmanship judging, both to answer questions about her costume and how it was made and to accompany her because she's a minor.
Hope that answered your questions!

yes. Thank you very much. ;D

Out of curiosity, who won the Audience choice awards?
-
So far as I recall, the Gundam won audience choice costume and the 'Cooking with Alchemy' skit won audience choice skit.
-
Oh awesome! The friends that I was with really liked that skit!

I have been wanting to watch the 2014 cosplay contest again, but I can't find videos of it anywhere! Does anyone have any or know why there wouldn't be any? Maybe just nobody took them that year...
