Title: Smash bros 2014 question.
Post by: Nayruenthusiast on April 29, 2014, 01:06:58 pm
I was wondering if there was going to be some event with the new smash bros?
It'd be kinda hard since only the 3DS version would be out by Kumo2014 but it'd be nice to see a smaller event using SB3DS. The only problem I'd see is that every participant would have to bring their own 3DS and copy of the game.

To be honest, I think that having only the 3DS version might make things easier. I mean, with the Wii U version, you'd only be able to have up to 4 people playing per console, and that's assuming we'd have more than one available. With the 3DS version, you could easily have a bunch of matches going on all at once, and they don't even need to be in the same area to do it (as they would with the Wii U being plugged into a TV/projector).

If you think that there should be an event, I'm sure the staff would be open to the idea of it. You'd have to make sure you had someone to run the event, though (assuming you don't want to yourself).

Looks like this will have to wait until next year.

Yeah I guess October is a part of Nintendo's summer. I got to play smash Wii U and 3DS at best buy the other day and it was super fun. Going again tomorrow.

Will there still be a Smash tournament this year for sure?
Also, I wasn't able to attend last year; what are the details? (Rules, entry fee, etc)

Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing, will there be a Brawl tournament or even a Project M tournament?

I assume it'll be standard rules, 8 min, 4 stock, etc. etc. but will there be an entry fee if there even is a tournament going down?
