Does anybody here know where I can get my cosplay wigs (Mikuo Hatsune and Gintoki Sakata) trimmed? I have reference pictures, for how I want the wigs trimmed (styled). Any help on this matter would be GREATLY appreciated.

A lot of salons will trim wigs. You could also try other cosplayers in your area.

Here's the places I (along with my mom) have tried;
Great Clips: doesn't trim wigs
Sally's: they don't trim wigs, but they have wig stands for $5.00 (my mom went solo for this inquiry)

Actually it depends where you are to if they do or not..Azura, they might near you, but that's actually not a normal thing. No salon I have EVER asked will do them. I've asked in 3 cities and not a single one will. This was when I didn't know how to. The only "salons" that said they would were people that upon asking "how will you cut them" their reply was "Just like any other person's hair, of course, it's not any different" when if fact yes, it's VERY differnent. Cutting a wig the way you cut real hair will look extremely horrible, so the ones that will do it, usually do it because they have no idea how to actually ct a wig correctly..
Honestly, find a commissioner if you are that worried..

Thanks for the advice, Sailor-Jeimi. It looks like my best bet would be to find someone at the next general meeting.

You know, it might be easier if you had an account at cosplay.com..Then at least you could find someone to do it..I mean I could do it..At least Miku anyway..I don't know the other character..

But go on the marketplace and find a commissioner. WAY easier..

Not sure if you'll see this first, but I meant to ask commissioners from the marketplace..Not post in the wig section. That will get you nothing. You need to ask commissioners directly. They don't really look for ads in that section, as well as you aren't allowed to post there for that..

Huh. Ive asked all 3 of the ones in my neighborhood, and all of them said they do. Then again, there is a cosmetology school in the area too, and their students train on wigs. So maybe they just went over to the other salons in the area and thats why they do.

I don't need my wigs trimmed after all. I just needed a haircut.
