Title: Orycon (35) 2013
Post by: TalaRedWolf33 on October 16, 2013, 10:15:05 pm
I didn't see a topic for just Orycon, so I made one.
So, who is going? Cosplay plans? Event plans? Panel plans?

Turns out, ill be going thanks to a very kind individual.
And I'm going to be helping at the Yarn and Quilting Panel, teaching people about amigurumi and crochet in general.

Its going to be fun!

I may go Saturday because I wont to be at some of the readings .  But I am losing interest Orycon for abanding other faccessts of Science Fiction fandom to become just a writercon.  Here is a note to Orycon change or die , there are many of us who Read Science Fiction, fans of Science Fiction, watch Science Fiction shows, and costume in Science Fiction. Wake you or do blame me when one day Orycon wakes up and finds  more people attend Wonder NW, Newcon and  Furlandia than Orycon.

I'm going, I've got my room set up and everything. I'm hoping that they have some time set aside for fanfics because I have something I'd like to have read and I'll be bringing some of it,

I find myself in agreement with acton. I love writers and listening to their work. But, in my own humble opinion, conventions are also about having fun. If Orycon wants to survive it has to adapt or it'll end losing to the other conventions in town.

I had so much fun this weekend! I went to my first con party and had some guys buying me drinks and danced a lil bit with complete strangers. It was a blast!
I'm totally going next year.
