Okay, So 2013 was full of Gurren Lagann cosplayers, and this year I'm planning my own cosplay for it. You can post your highlights of last year, and if anyone is interested for up coming con, let us know!

That's actually a great idea, you don't come across too many Yoko crossplayers. You should really look into it though :)

Well I want to..like crazy..I love Yoko..but not only do I not feel comfortable in that little clothing at my weight, I also have "issues crossplaying in shorts" if you get my drift

But I think there's one HUGE reason I've never seen a crossplay of her..No guy can do that with fake boobs lol

Youd be surprised. There are some amazing things guys can do to crossplay, even that. Nothing within your budget unfortunately. Not within most peoples budget.

I was actually really sad I went without Simon. I still have to trim the bangs up some, but I do plan to bring him for 2014^^

Well that's more what I'm taking about. It's ver unlikely someone would spend that kind of money just for this one cosplay. I'd rather get more cosplays finished for that kind of money.

Budget is always a big issue in any hobby you get into..
or lifestyle .-.
But saving up, even if it's a little amount, really helps in the long run.
I've only done minor cosplays so far, but now that I've built up my savings, I'm definitely going to add to my closet this year.
Also, I want to make a custom Simon post-timeskip outfit, but I'm terrible with sewing, so I guess we'll see how it turns out. I may just scrap it and purchase a pre-made outfit( though the prices hurt my soul)

You could do like I did, Shadow. I bought a pre-made Timeskip Simon for it's Jacket only. I plan to make the one-piece shirt/pants later on when I have more skills, but for now, I just wear white pants with the top that came with (which is sleeveless btw <333) It's not "perfect" but it's comfortable.

I did search and I actually don't see a listing for the one I bought- it was literally just the top half of the costume, no red sash or anything. They have some decent ones up now that have the full costume and not all of them are bad prices.

This actually isn't a bad price for the full one...
And the star is tiny, but a little adjustment could make it work.

You're welcome :) That version of Simon, or any really, shouldn't go over $100 with shipping and handling. And really, it shouldn't go over $90. (Though I think most of the costumes [on eBay] could be better sold in the $60 range, but oh well...)

I think I have almost everything lined up, though I need to watch more Sword Art Online before I can actually do a cosplay.(Because it looks really awesome and I curse my slow mountain internet. >.<)
